Picture of Future King Above

No POV

Behind a dark wood desk in an elegant yet modern room, a prince with the heart and soul of a king fills in the paperwork. With short curly hair, and dark red eyes that only is shared with the children of the royal family. Those who are destined to rule the kingdom. This dashing yet static prince is Marshall Woods.

The sound of a soft knock echo throughout the room, he looks up. Voice smooth, deep, and powerful he speaks, "Come in."

A butter steps in the room, closing the door behind him. He bows slightly to show his respect, "Your Majesty, the King and Queen wish to see you in the living room."

He nods, "Thank you, Nicholas, that will be all."

He nods and walks out, running his hand through his hair he takes a minute to breathe. Drowning himself in work all day seems to be his life for the last 2 years. Finally getting up, he exits his office, walking through the timeless walls he thinks in his own world.

He takes his time but finally makes it to the living room. His mother is in a long spring dress while his father has a simple dress shirt and black slacks.

He gives them a small but genuine smile, "Mother, father."

They look at him and smile, "Son, sit down."

He nods sitting on a leather chair in front of the two as they sit on the long couch.

His father gives him a calm and fatherly look, "Son, it's time for you to take the throne. With one year of training to be king, your mother and I think you're ready. As you know, a king must rule with his queen by your side. So tomorrow we will be closing the school dow temporally, you will look for your soul mate and if she is not in this town you will return and we'll start fresh the next day. Do you understand?"

He looks at his parents, "Yes, I understand."

Next Day

Marshell POV

Stepping out the castle, slipping in my BMW I drive off, allowing the red string to guide me to her. Driving through the town, I see the string leading to a 2 story house in a small neighborhood. Parking on the curb I turn off the car, taking a deep breath. Looking at the red string I can't help but feel a bit nervous about how she will be.

All I can do is trust the universe that they have paired me with someone worthy of my care.

Stepping out of the car I lock the door behind me, walking towards the door of the simple house. I notice a yellow beetle in the drive way. Ringing the doorbell, waiting patiently.

I hear an angelic voice from the other side, "I'll be right there!"

I wait a little longer before the door opens, our eyes meet. The string wraps around us, glowing, pulling us close to inform us that we are meant to be. I admire her features, considering that I'm 6'3 she's tall, maybe 5'8? I don't mind, it complements her figure. She looks gorgeous, with her brown curly hair and yellow spring dress.

Her eyes widen through her circular glasses, "Prince Marshall?"

I give her a small smile, "Yes, you are my soulmate. Now, what's your name?"

She gives me the warmest smile I've ever laid my eyes on, "My name is Yasha Wilson, nice to meet you."

She steps out of the way, "Please come in."

I nod walking in the small and quaint home, looking around I admire the atmosphere.

She walks ahead of me, "Mom! We have guest over, come down!"

She turns to me, "Would you like something to drink?"

I shake my head, "No I'm good."

I sit on the couch, she sits next to me but not to close. An silence is shared between us, from the corner of my eye she looks excited but nervous at the same time. Footsteps are heard, we look over to see a woman with long curly brown hair.

Looking at me she stops in her place, I stand.

"You must be Yasha's mother, It's nice to meet you."

She snaps out of it, giving me a sad yet happy smile she stands in front of me. Bowing slightly to show respect she looks at me, "It's nice to meet you, Prince Marshall, it seems my little girl will be leaving sooner than I thought."

I nod, "Yes, she will be coming with me, but you are always welcomed to come to the palace. To visit her, but it's time for my queen to stand by my side."

"But-"

"Yasha."

Her mother interrupts her, "It's time to live your life."

I watch as she walks over to her, Yasha looks a bit sad. Giving her mother a hug, she holds her tight. They finally let go, her mother touches her cheek. "Just remember what I told and taught you, and live your life to the fullest."

She smiles and nods, "Yes mama."

Whipping her eyes, she puts on a brave face, "I'll pack, then I'll be ready."

I face her completely, "You don't have to worry yourself with such a task, your clothes will be in your room by morning."

She nods, holding out my hand for her to take, "Shall we?"

She looks at my hand then back at me, she grabs a small bag on the side of the couch and takes my hand. Hers is so soft, warm, smooth, smiling at me she chuckles.

"We shall."
