Screaming. Panic. Shock. Then it all went black.

I awoke in what seemed to be a hospital. How strange... I don't recall having any memory on how I arrived here. What happened and how long have I been here for? All I can do now is wait for someone to come into the room. I looked around and the walls of the room are white and the floor is a gray tile. There's light coming from the window and the blinds are a light blue color. I noticed that I'm not in any casts or anything like that so I must be fine. Right?
The door opened and a nurse walked in. She saw that I was awake and gasped then ran out of the hall saying, "He's awake! He's awake! It's a miracle he's finally awake! Get his parents they will be thrilled to know that he is finally awake." She then walked back in after a few minutes and said, "I'm sorry about that sir, it's just relieving to know that your finally awake! For a moment there we thought you would never wake up and here you are!" I was confused... What did she mean? Was I asleep for a while? I don't even know why I am here.
"What do you mean miss? Was I asleep for long? And why am I here?" She had a sad gleam in her eyes and then her face turned into a look of... Pity? "Oh yes the doctor said that you might not recall much. He will be in soon but for now, can I get you anything?" She gave me a warm smile that made me feel a little better about my current situation. "Well a glass of water would be nice if you don't mind." She smiled wider and said, "Oh of course not dear!" Before she left I looked at her appearance. She had pretty green eyes and blonde hair and seemed fairly young.
She soon returned with my water and lingered around the room for a bit. I remember that earlier she mentioned that my parents would be coming. But didn't I just see them last night? Or wait... I'm not really sure. Maybe it wasn't last night. She should know how long I've been here right?
"Excuse me miss... Oh yes I never caught your name." She turned to me and said, "You can call me Nurse Anna." I then smiled and said, "Alright then Nurse Anna... Do you happen to know how long I've been here for and why I'm here?" Her smile then faded and She replied with, "Oh, why dear, you got in a car crash in 1937 and have been in a coma for 6 years. I'm sorry I know it's a lot to take in." I've... Been in a coma... For 6 YEARS!? No no no... This can't be... "So you're saying that it's 1943?" She replied, "Yes I'm afraid it is... Oh the doctor is here now he'll tell you more about your health and what happened." The doctor walked in and the nurse left.
I can't speak. I'm too shocked. I've missed 6 years of my life... All of those years have been wasted and I've been in a coma...
"Hello Mr. Landry I'm glad to see that you're finally awake." The doctor had brown hair like me and had brown eyes and seemed fairly tall. He reached out to shake my hand and I took it. He sat down then proceeded to say, "You're probably wondering what's going on with your body and the state that you're in." I nodded my head as a yes. I still was processing why I was here and all of the time that I missed.
"I assume that Nurse Anna already told you that you were in a coma for 6 years. So I will tell you why. When you crashed you suffered severe head trauma that could've probably have caused your death. Thank goodness that the paramedics got you here on time. Now, the normal length of time that people are in a coma for is a few weeks but you were a rare case and lasted way longer then expected. You will most likely have temporary amnesia but don't worry you'll regain your memories with time. Do you recall anything on the night of the accident and why you were driving at such a late time of night?"
I thought about it and I couldn't remember anything or why I was even driving in the first place! "No I can't recall anything... I'm not even sure how old I am. It was 6 years ago so I must be... 23!?"
The doctor nodded. No... I was 17 then. I got mad and said, "You mean to tell me that I've wasted my college years!? I've wasted everything being in this coma!" I started to stand but the doctor laid me back down and said, "No no you can't get up yet you've just woken from a coma you have to take it easy!"
