It all started with a Monster Energy Can, cold in my hand, my face sweaty from being nervous that I was going to get caught, it was at my work too. I was so stupid to think that I was going to get away with it. Things went and bit me up the ass instead. I needed a drink so bad though! I thought that it couldn't hurt me if I did it once, I didn't get caught. Soon, it seemed to be more, but it didn't all start with the Monster, no, it started when I was 5.

Me and my best friend were at Safeway, looking at DVDs.

"Hey, check this out! My friend did this and got away with it!" Said my friend.

"No, man, you shouldn't be doing that! You'll get in trouble!"

"Shut your mouth! Youj'll get us both in trouble!"

So I kept my mouth shut as we left the store, no metal detectors rang or anything. We were off the radar, in the clear! I was scared, shocked, and excited at the same time. Later that night, he said to me, "See? What did I tell you?"

4 months later, I thought that I would try it. I was standing by myself in a CVS while my mom went to shop. I took Inside Out Reeses because I didn't want to get in trouble, I slipped it into the left pocket of my overalls (because back then, you weren't a gangster without your overalls) and left the store. I was still shocked that I wasn't getting caught!

"That simple, eh?" I thought to myself.

7 Years later, when I was 12, I was at that very same CVS where I stole the Reeses. I thought that I'd steal some spray deoderant. A lot of things happened between when I was 5 and when I was 12. I got more nervous and everything, developed facial hair, my voice cracked, and if you must know, my........ face had pimples!!

Anyway, yeah, it didn't work out so well. I slipped the deoderant in my backpack, and tried to throw it over the detectors. The manager called my house, and almost had me arrested. Good thing my parents weren't home and he was nice. I ran home and tried to beat my parents which I did. Deleted the message and dodged a bullet, stealing wasn't as easy as I thought it was, so why didn't I stop? I did for a while...

I work at Target, and was doing some reshop for the Green Team, I'm now 16, have longer hair, taller, and I don't get nervous. There was a single can of Monster right there.

"Yo, I'm just going to take it, I'm going on break." I said.

 "Alright cool." Said my co-worker.

I took it into the break room and drank it and threw it away before I paid for it. I had stolen again. Only this time, I had the oppurtunity to learn. Me and a co-worker were talking about something and I swallowed the drink wrong. I don't think that was coincidential, I think someone was trying to tell me that I shouldn't have done that, and for once I listened.

The next day, I worked reshop again. There was a single coca-cola can in the cart, I had the biggest urgency to just take it and go on break, soI walked away from the can. I'm glad I made that decision, and everything is slowly starting to get better.

As for my friend who stole the DVD, he lives in Alabama now, he blew up a car a couple weeks ago at school. I guess something's never change.
