ch.1 - "Here we are in college!"

I have multiple reasons to make this, but it's mostly for my best friend úwù

This is before Vinyl (Virtua-Freddy) and Frost(bear) finished college. So this is maybe a prequel to my MoltenXLefty book😳👉👈

And the only reason why I put "thefamousfilms" in the tags, is because I worry that this won't get enough attention as my other books qnq

Virtua-Freddy's pov

I woke up to my alarm clock ringing. I sat up from my bed and turned it off. I yawned and stood up, walking out of my room to downstairs.

I reached the end of the stairs, and I was greeted by my cousin, Sham(rock Freddy), "Mornin', cousin!" He says cheerfully. "Umaga, Kuya.." I say, still sleepy.

(Translate: "Morning, big bro.."
And like I said, "kuya/ate" is a word to call older siblings or someone that is older than you in Filipino-)

"Sit down, Vinyl! And I'll prepare breakfast!" Sham says and gestures me to sit down at the table. I nodded slowly and sat down. He places two plates of pancakes on the table in front of me, took the butter from the fridge, and finally the syrup for the pancakes. He sat across the table and started to eat, I also did started to eat.

"So.." Sham says as he reached for his glass of water, "Are ya ready to go to college with me?" "I guess.." I replied, "I'm a little nervous." Sham smiles and says "Oh, it's okay to be nervous! I was also nervous of my first day!" Then we heard footsteps coming down the stairs, "Morning, mga anak!" Mom says as she walks down the stairs and to the dining area. "Are you ready for your first day of college, 'nak?" She asks. I shrugged, "Not really." "And does it have dorms, Kuya?" I asked Sham. "Yeah! There's dorms for those who live far from the place." Sham says. "Are we getting dorms?" "Yes- 'Cuz we live far." "O h -"

Time skip

"Come on! We're gonna be late!" Sham yells from his car. "Wait! I'm coming!" I shouted. Mom gave me a goodbye kiss on the cheek, then I waved bye to her and went inside the car. I watched mom slowly fading away as we drove off.

"Hey.." Sham says to break the silence of the car ride, "I- I felt the same way when I left for college, Vinyl. I've been there.." "Do we have to leave mom..?" I asked quietly. "Yeah.. But- She'll be fine..! She's our mom! Even though she's actually my aunt, I like to call her mom! She can take care of herself just fine, Vinyl! I promise..!" Sham says with a reassuring smile. I smiled back at him, "Okay, Kuya." I then turn the radio on to fill up the silence. "Y'know, ya can Bluetooth your phone to the radio. That way, ya can listen to your playlists along the ride." Sham says. "Oh, I can?" I replied. "Of course!" He says happily, "Unless ya wanna listen to cliche love music." "Kuya!" "I'm kidding!"

The rest of the ride was nice. Me and Sham would tell random stuff along the way. It was quite fun.

After a 4am to 6am car ride, we finally arrived at the place. Sham drove the car to the parking lot and found a spot. We got out of the car and took our stuff. "Okay, now I want you to let me do the talking, 'kay?" Sham says, "Oh okay." I reply. Sham started to walk towards the building and I just followed.

"Names?" Says the lady at the desk. "Heyyy, you remember me right? Sham, Sham Virtua?" Sham says, smiling awkwardly. "Of course I remember you, Sham." She says, "But who is this with you?" "This is my cousin, Vinyl! He's basically new here!" Sham answers. "Okay, first your cousin here have to give the papers and such." "Oh right! Hang on a sec..!"

(I don't know much of college so please forgive me qwq)

Smol time skip boi!

"What is your schedule, Vinyl?" Sham asks while we walk the halls, "I have my hands full with my stuff, Sham. I can't read it right now." I replied. "Understandable. But hey! What if we're assigned to have the same dorm!?" "You're being too loud, Kuya." "I know I am! But the halls are usually empty because not everyone has arrived yet!" "So when exactly is college gonna start?" I ask. "Tomorrow, actually." Sham says. "This college just prefers to have every student arrive early, so that everyone could have time to get ready. Today we're gonna do is go to our assigned dorms and unpack, then do whatever. But the next day, we'll have to start working."

While Sham explains things, we accidentally did that cliche thing where you bumped into someone. "Sorry!" I say quickly. "Ohoho! I remember that light blue fur!" Sham says smiling like a complete idiot. I look up to see a blue bear, he was quite tall. He sighed, "Hello, Sham.." Sham started laughed a little, "Good to see ya, Frost!" "Sino yan, Kuya?" I asked. "Vinyl, this is Frost! He my, and still, best friend back in high school!" "God, I remember how loud you are." Frost says, rolling his eyes like a edgy teenager and looked away. Sham gasped, "What if we get the same dorm like last time!?" "No..!" "Don't jinx it, Ice Bear!"

Another time skip because I'm lazy

"Dorm 710." I say repeatedly as I look for my dorm. I finally found it and opened the door. I was greeted with a strong mint scent, anD hOw muCh iT maKes mE diZzY- I coughed while I walked in and closed the door behind me. "Wer ist da!?" Someone yelled in German.

(Translates:
"Sino yan, Kuya?" - "Who is that, big bro?"
"Wer ist da!?" - "Who's there!?")

A chocolate like rabbit walked out from the bathroom, "Oh- You must be my roommate?" He asks. I shrugged, "I guess- I'm Vinyl!" "Oh, then I'm Hershey! (Chocolate Bonnie)" He says smiling. "And just so you know, the smell of mint makes me dizzy qwq" I say. "Oh! Sorry!" He then walks over to something and turned it off. "Salamat!" I thanked him in Filipino and put my stuff down. "So, bottom or top bunk?" He asks. "Bottom." I replied. "Okay!" I then started to unpack my stuff.

I finished unpacking and sat on my bed. "So, are you also new here?" Hershey started a conversation. "Yeah, actually, I am!" I replied. "Cool! I'm new too!" Me and Hershey talked for awhile. It was nice to talk to someone like him. I can tell he's energetic and stuff. Like Sham! I'm also pretty proud of myself for making, at least, one friend! ÙwÚ✨

Later in the middle of our conversation, someone randomly opened out door. I looked to see who it was, it was just Sham. "Vinyl! I finally found you!" He says as he quickly walked towards me and sat beside me on my bed. "Guess what." "What is it, Kuya?" "I'm roomies with Frost again, ha!" He then started laughing, slowly laying down on the bed. "Wait- Vinyl, who's that?" Hershey asks. He looked down from the top bunk and gasped. He quickly jumped down and successfully landed on his feet (rabbit skillzz-) "Oh shit- It's a fan- Hide me, little cousin!" Sham then hid behind the pillows. Hershey did a sharp inhale, "You're related to Sham!?" "Okay, I know I have a popular cousin. And people might try to befriend me 'cause he's my cousin and will try to ask me to hook 'em up with him. But I prefer to be left alone and let Sham do everything he's own!" I say, crossing my arms. Sham jokingly did a offended gasp and sat up, "So are you saying that you prefer to stand there and watch me get crowded by bitches?? How could you, Vinyl!" "S-Sorry! I'm just a big fan!" Hershey says. "I don't have a pen! And I don't have a official signature! I can't give autographs!" Sham says, which was true. There was one time where he was sitting in front of his desk, trying to make the perfect signature. Mostly because mom said so because there will be times where you have to sign a receipt after buying at the grocery store. Or does that only happen in the Philippines- qwq

"Oh- Yeah, that's understandable- But can I get a hug qwq?" Hershey says. "Sure!" Sham stood up and gave Hershey a hug.
