I woke up to my uncle Lawrence banging pots together at 11 in the morning he said Paris wake dont you think u should wake up its the after noon ,I looked at my Phone and it was only 11 . Oh btw my name is Paris Marie Parks im 13yrs old and i moved to Detroit when i was 12 with my uncle . I never knew why i left LA but Lawrence never told me and after a while of asking i just got tired i kno he'll tell me eventually tho. When Lawrence left my room i got up and changed my clothes i put on a yellow sweater and black jeans with my black converse then i went to the bathroom and did my hygiene when I finished I smelled breakfast but Lawrence cant cook so i knew my grandmother was cooking . I got really excited bc she rarely comes to visit us After eating breakfast my grandmother said she was gonna go to the store and buy some food for dinner.

My grandma never came back from the store so i started to think she went back to Ohio and was scared to tell me i didn't know but one day Lawrence told me to come sit down he had to tell me something very important he had a scared look on his face like he felt guilty or something....then thats when it hit me he told me my grandmother died i didn't know how to feel I barely saw her but she was still my grandmother then he said Your parents are gonna be at the funeral so i felt a little better bc i never met them i was in foster care till my uncle got custody of me.

After me and Lawrence got done looking at photos of my grandma he went to go get dinner while i stayed at home after the news i didnt wanna leave at the moment so i just fell asleep in the living room
