Xichen looked convinced but still not smiling. He fished his phone out from his pocket and called Lan Wangji. He placed it on speaker so everyone can hear it.Wei Wuxian wants to hug him for his consideration.
"Hello?" Lan Wangji answered after two rings.
"Wangji. Where are you? Are you home?"Xichen asked.
"No. I'm here at the park."
"Why is your voice like that? Did you cry?" Xichen questioned when he noticed the change on his voice. Being the only person who can read him, it's not a surprise that he noticed it.
"Wangji. Are you okay?" Xichen asked when the other didn't answer his question.
"I don't wanna talk about it right now." Lan Wangji softly whispered. He sounds vulnerable and he's right. He did cry. He glared at Wei Wuxian who just bit his lips and looked away.
"Don't worry. I'll be home soon. I just need some time alone." Lan Wangji assured him before ending the call.

And that's how Wei Wuxian finds himself running to the park on their City. After he apologized to Lan Xichen and assurance from him and Jiang Cheng that he really really liked Lan Wangji, he bolt out of the building.
He can see the park ahead of him. It's the middle of Autumn so the leaves are starting to fall and wither. He feels cold from the Autumn breeze that are blowing on his face but he didn't mind it. He was desperate to find Lan Wangji as fast as he can.
After running around the park, he finally found him seated under a tree. His back was leaning on the tree and his head is hung high. He has his eyes closed . Even from afar, he looked beautiful.
"I finally found you." Wei Wuxian said when he approached him.
Lan Wangji opened his eyes when he heard Wei Wuxian. He turned around and found him catching his breath. He has his hands on his knees and he keeps panting.
"Wei Ying. What are you doing here?" He asked and stand up. But instead of answering, Wei Wuxian placed his palm in front of him, like telling him to give him a moment to catch his breath and composed himself.
Lan Wangji obliged, just looking at him. He didn't expect the other to run after him. He was sure that they won't see each other until the weekend is over. Truth be told, he wants to take back what he said earlier. But he can't.
After Wei Wuxian composed himself, he looked at Lan Wangji in the eyes and stepped forward.
"Lan Zhan. I'm here to explain so here me out okay?" He said and hoped that the other will agree. He smiled when he saw him nod but didn't move when he stepped closer, narrowing their distance.
"I admit, it's true that I asked you out today because of a dare." He started and saw how Lan Wangji pursed his lips on a thin line and looked away. Wei Wuxian wants to hug him that instant because he saw the pain in those golden eyes.
"But, it's not for fun or to hurt you. They made that dare because they know how much I like you." He explained and Lan Wangji faced him at that. His eyes widened a little while looking at him.
"They know I have a big crush on you. They know how I really really like you and how I act around you." He added and closed their gap. He then took Lan Wangji's hands and interwined their fingers together.
"You're really great. I really really like you. Heck, I think I love you already. You make me happy." He confessed and felt Lan Wangji froze on his place.
Shocked, disbelief, and happiness can be seen on his eyes. And in one swift movement, he pulled Wei Wuxian into his arms and hugged him tight. He placed his head on the crook of his neck and whispered,
"Really great. Really really like you."
"Yes." Wei Wuxian nodded when he heard him.
"Love you."
"Yes!"
"Make me happy."
"Yes!"
Lan Wangji hugged him tighter and burried his deeper on his neck. Wei Wuxian then felt alarmed when he felt his neck being wet.
"Wait Lan Zhan. Are you crying?" He asked and tried to pull back from the hug. But Lan Wangji just hugged him tighter.
"Lan Zhan, look at me." He then pulled back from the hug. Lan Wangji's head was hung low and he wiped his eyes before looking up to meet his.
And he was right! The other was crying.
"Fuck. Did I make you cry? Shit. Sorry." Wei Wuxian immediately said and cupped his head with his hands.
"No. Was just happy." Lan Wangji told him and smiled.
Wei Wuxain felt butterflies on his stomach when he saw him smile. It was a genuine one. Not those little curl of his lips that he do. It was a real and genuine smile!
He then saw Lan Wangji closed his eyes and leaned down. And oh, Wei Wuxian felt like he was in cloud nine when a pair of soft lips landed on his.
Lan Wangji was kissing him!
It took a while for him to recover and when he felt those lips leaving, the hands that are holding Lan Wangji's face went to his nape and pulled him closer. He kissed him back, pouring all the love he feels for this man. They kissed for a while, and soon their foreheads were touching and breaths fanning in each other's face.
"I love you." Wei Wuxian softly whispered.
"I love you too." Lan Wangji answered him back, sincerity laced his voice.
"Let's go again on a date tomorrow hmm? A real one." Wei Wuxian said to him.
"Hmm okay."
