France, 31st of August 1976

It hadn't been quiet for too long. Just a few hours before the enormous chateau had been full of laughter and crying, as friends and lovers met again after two months of summer holidays. These chatters and discussions had since quieted down as the shadow of a last summer night laid itself over the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.

It seemed like the appearance of the gorgeous half-moon was some kind of invitation or starting whistle.

Seemingly without a sound, a few dozen of black clothed men appeared around the school. All of them were tightly holding onto a stick in their hands, gaze determined. There was still no sound as one man appeared after the others. His posture screamed of power, as he hovered over quite a few of the men around him, all crouching away slightly.

Deprecatingly looking around, Abraxas Malfoy rose his voice: "The Dark Lord made himself very clear. Find the girl, don't kill her, and bring her to me. If necessary, eliminate those in your way. A few dozen dead French chicken have never hurt anybody."

His words hadn't been spoken very loudly, as there was no necessity for it. Not one of the dark men dared to make a sound, however as soon as their leader was finished with his instructions, life seemed to sweep them up again. In one movement, the circle of men made their way up to the Academy.

The first blood-curling scream disrupted the eery silence a few moments later. It hadn't been the last. Had the chateau a few moments before basked in the moonlight, it was soon lit up by various differently coloured flashes.

Students screaming and crying, death eaters laughing, and the smell of burned robes dominated the following moments. However, it was not long before a group of the intruders made their way back to their leader- carrying a passed out girl on their shoulders.

"You shocked her?", asked the tall man interested. His men seemed to fear his suppressed anger, as they rushed to answer. "She has definitely been trained. Took down two of our men before we could get to her. Shouldn't be hurt too badly though."

Abraxas Malfoy took a long look at the delicate figure in the death eaters arm. It was not easy to imagine such a petite girl taking down two of the most skilled dark wizards there were. As he stepped in front of her, he was sure to see a small movement of her mouth. Before he could make much of it, the girls fist rushed forward.

Right into the face of the patriarch of one of the most prestigious pureblood families of the Wizarding world.

The death eater holding her dropped the girl as soon as the movement happened, however Abraxas Malfoy was faster as he gripped her neck and pulled the student up to a standing position.

"You really want to know pain, do I understand that correctly?" His smile seemed to be the one of a psychopath, and the men around him carefully took a step back. Ignoring the immediate danger the girl surely knew herself to be, she looked her capturer straight in the eye.

"I do not want to know pain, no. I was actually hoping to have a normal school year for once, if you catch my drift. But no, straight on the first day you British pieces of d'ordures have to appear here." Her accent upon talking English was heavily French, as she seemed to nearly boil of anger.

If it hadn't been Abraxas Malfoy standing opposite of the young student, a few of the surrounding death eaters might have laughed at the fierce girl. However, upon looking at their leader, every sound remained trapped in their mouths. This way, everybody heard the man whispering the torturing curse between his teeth.

"Cruciato"

During the surprising interaction, the fight in the school had slowly begun to calm down, as teachers and students alike were able to inform the French ministry, which immediately sent aurors to support staff and students. The death eaters were being put in corners and those who did not manage to flee soon enough were captured. This way, the pained screams of the school's most popular student were heard up to the towers.
