"Would you look at that," Aiden said to his friends watching the small crowd of onlookers. "Everyone stayed back just to watch us walk through these doors."

Aiden bowed and waved to the crowd. "Shows over guys. No encore but don't worry. Our next performance will be tomorrow. If you're lucky we'll walk through the door twice."

Travis glanced past Aiden and eyed the scrappy looking boy standing in the center of the crowd. The kid looked terrible. There were two girls standing in front of him protectively.

It didn't take five seconds for him to figure out what was going on. Warner; the dunce, loud mouthed quarterback was at his shit again. The guy had a tendency to beat up anyone he saw fit to. Every time Travis laid eyes on the guy he felt sick.

From beside him, Cory made a loud disapproving sound in the back of his throat when he saw the scene.

Aiden nudged Cory in the side. "Wait. Isn't that a first year?" he asked snickering through his fingers.

He sent a mocking look of approval in Warner's direction. "Whoa-ho-ho! We got us a certified bad ass over here. When I grow up I wanna be just like you." Aiden's tone was condescending and his lips were curled down in distaste. His eyes bore into Warner's angry ones daring him to speak.

Aiden loved to stir up trouble wherever he went and Travis always got dragged into his crap. It only took one look at Warner's face to know things were going to hell.

His face puffed up in anger and his shoulders stiffened. Warner always let his pride screw over his brain when he had an audience. He didn't like anyone showing him up.

He started for Aiden and made a move to push Travis out of his way when Aiden and Cory suddenly started kicking up with a whole ton of noise.

"No. No. You don't wanna do that. Nope." Aiden shook his head furiously then turned to Cory. "Does he wanna do that? Does he? Does he?"

Cory shrugged, a small taunting grin pulling in his lips. "I don't think so. I know I wouldn't. Would you?"

Facial features set grim, Aiden shook his head slowly from side to side. "No. No, I wouldn't."

Warner made a noise in his throat that sounded suspiciously like a growl. "You guys screwing with me?"

Aiden looked at Cory questioningly. "Are we screwing with him?"

"Yeah I think we are," Cory said nodding.

Warner made another deep sound in his throat and Aiden raised a hand to his chest. "Did you - did you just growl? Oh dear me. Don't tell me you're gonna turn into a werewolf?"

Travis glanced at Aiden from the corner of his eyes. What the hell was this joker really up to?

"Alright Aiden. Play time's over. You got your kicks an laughs. Let's go. Warner looks like he's about to explode," Cory said. He laid a hand on his friend's shoulder and steered him in the other direction.

"And? You see! This is why we never get along. Why you always gotta be reasonable?" Aiden complained. "I was this close to getting him to hit me."

"And why the hell would you want that?" Cory asked in disbelief.

"Because I'd get to hit him back. Duh."

He spun away from Cory and walked backwards. "Hey meat head," he called out. Warner's angry face grew even angrier.

"What?"

Aiden grinned and nodded at Cory. "My friend here says he's gonna kill you. What are you gonna do about it?"
