Izuku's body hit the door with a thud.
"You stupid, bitch!", yelled Izuku's father, kicking Izuku in the stomach.
Izuku wanted to cry, but he didn't want Eri to start crying and alert their father that she was hiding in the closet nearby. His father kicked Izuku again, but this time, he dug his foot into his stomach. Izuku bit down on his lip to keep from yelping. "I told you to get some money! Or bring food to me! Not that stupid brat!", he yelled, picking Izuku up by his collar, "Next time, I'll beat her instead!"
Izuku's eyes widened, and he croaked out, "N-no..."
"Then next time. Bring! ME! FOOD!", Izuku's father yelled, dropped Izuku, and stepped on him on his way out the door, and down the stairs.
As soon as their father was out of earshot, Eri came out of the closet and ran toward Izuku. "Deku! Oh, no...", Eri said, using the nickname she had for him, "Let me help you.."
Eri pressed her small, pale hand on Izuku's head. Magic flowed through her hand into Izuku, healing the worst of the wounds. Izuku sat up and hugged Eri. "I'm gonna get us out of here", he mumbled into her ear, stroking her off-white hair.
"I promise."

Izuku poked his head downstairs. His father was snoring loudly. He was sleeping off a hangover.
Perfect.
Izuku grabbed a bag out of the small closet where Eri usually hid. It was full of non-perishable food,water and some clothes. "Eri," he whispered to her, "It's time to go."
Eri poked her head out from under the bed. "Go where?", she questioned, looking up at Izuku.
"Away from here. Forever," said Izuku kneeling down to her level, and reached out a hand.
"L-like you promised", Eri said, coming out from under the bed completely.
"Yeah, like I promised," said Izuku, giving Eri a soft smile.
Eri grinned and grabbed hold of Izuku's outstretched gloved hand. Izuku led her out of the room and down the stairs. They tiptoed out the door, and then started running. Izuku didn't know if they had woken their father, and honestly he didn't care at all in the slightest.
They were free.
Free.

First Wattpad Fanfiction! Yeah!!! Only 355 words though... Not including the A/N. I'll try to make the chapters as long as possible, but the first few chapters probably won't be very long. Also hope you like the music. Probably gonna use the same one for chapter one, too.
