dreams and nightmares

Maki and kaito are watching "Rick and Morty" at his house on his bed. Maki lays her head on his shoulder "we've been watching this show for 5 hours, when are we going to get ready for bed-?" she said with a little yawn "we can go to bed now if you want" He said stroking her hair "that'll be nice". They take about an hour getting ready for bed when they're done they lay down about to sleep "goodnight maki-roll" He smiled as she laid her head on his chest "goodnight kaito" She said drifting off to sleep. As she sleeps kaito watches some tv (bc he can't sleep obviously). (Sorry if the transition is a little bit sloppy) she starts tugging on his shirt, he looks down at her, he sees her crying and shaking, he worries

Makis pov:
All I hear is static, everything hurts, my arms and hands are full of scars and cuts "ha ha killer ha ha killer!" I want it to stop, it won't, I'm going crazy in my mind, am I dying why is this happening, what's going on I can't take this anymore I feel like I'm dying, all that I can think about is all of those people I killed, I am a monster aren't I can't change myself, why does kaito care for me, he knows my past all of the people I killed, I feel like I'm putting him in danger why does he do this to himself.

Kaitos pov:
I try waking maki up by tapping her, it doesn't work, I sit up then I shake her trying not to hurt her, "maki come on, wake up" I shake her a bit more,  she finally wakes up, she quickly pulls me into a hug, her tears get all over my shirt, I don't mind, "do you want to talk to me about the dream?" This wasn't my first time having maki wake up from a dream like this, she sniffles a bit "Mhm" She simply responds "okay" she tells me what happened in the dream "maki, it was a dream I know this stuff happened to you in the past but I can help you get over it anyway you can and anyway you need me to help I'll help you, I will be by your side no matter what" She nods still a bit shaky "if you want we could watch horrible romantic comedies until we fall asleep" "That'll be nice" She responds. I grab some snacks and after about 2.5 movies we fall asleep.
