Giyuu's POV

I was walking to the mansion i didnt understand why we had some kid who survived a couple years in a coma after getting his head crushed by the same demon that killed my bestfriend

now it seems like he was my only friend and now hes gone but how do we know this kid remembers anything i doubt oyakata-sama wants us to babysit this kid and train him

Or maybe thats what where dealing with

I walked into the mansion i stood away from everyone as they talked about recent missions mitsuri commented on my distancing as always and oyakata-sama came out we quickly lined up and sanemi greets him

I tried to pay attention to what he was saying he was talking about this kid i didnt hear his name or anything like that but i was right he doesnt remember anything so he does want us to babysit this kid

I soon snapped back to reality when oyakata-sama said that he was the only one to supposively die in final selection in my year

Sabito?...no it cant be sabito died didnt he did oyakata-sama make a calculation mistake thats impossible

I started holding sabito's side of my kimono tightly as the girls brought the kid out

He was wearing a white kimono with the same pattern haori as the right side of my kimono his pinkish orange hair fell in his face and his lavender eyes where like the wisteria trees

Sabito is alive

I was shocked about ready to jump up and hug him but then i remembered he doesnt even remember his own name he wouldnt remember me im sure of it i held my emotions back

He seemed to look around at us analyzing our facial features and taking in everything he can he seemed to not have really changed when it came to that we were waiting for him to talk does he not remember how to speak as well

"From what I've heard my name is sabito and i was the only one to die in this final selection thing 8 years agoa man named mr.urokodaki-san told me that i was to come here and that a guy named giyuu tomioka trained with me" he said hoping to get the names he said right

Everyone stared at me i hated it a lot I've always hated being the center of attention around the other pillars

"That would be me im the one you trained with"i said raising my hand shakingly the pillars seemed surprised

I wanted to tell him everything the promise his last words and how he protected not only me but everyone else but no one protected him not even me

"Giyuu since you knew sabito growing up how about you help him maybe you could make him remember who he was" oyakata-sama i hesitated thinking

"I will do my best to help him the way he did for me"i said in a emotionless tone biwing my head to oyakata-sama
