Chapter Two

Yes, I did just say that I jumped out the window and landed unharmed. Which could either mean that I am in fact an invincible supernatural... Orrr I just live on the ground floor. I think I'll just stick with the second one.

That's one of many things that I love about my house. There were only two bedrooms on the second floor when we first bought it. There are four of us.

My parents share a room of course, but doesn't stop us from being one room short, unless my brother and I were to share the second room with my sibling. And I was most certainly, definitely, positively, doubtlessly, undeniably, absolutely was NOT going to EVER do that. It would be murder by gassing.

So the only option I really had was to turn the owners old office on the first floor into a bedroom. Not too much of a hard job to do: stick a bed in it and HAZZAH! You have a new bedroom.

Now, your probably thinking 'Why the hell do that when you could have just bought a different house with three bedrooms in?! *palms*" But my mother fell for our house as soon as she pulled into the drive and that was the day she became as stubborn as a mule to buy any other house but the one we are currently in now. But what really drew her in was the garden. Mum always did have a green thumb, but the garden was huge! It really was beautiful with hundreds of different flowers and plants. 'My little hanging garden of Babylon' she would say... But more about the house later.

I start to hop up and down a bit and holding my hands over my mouth blowing on them as attempts to keeps my hands even mildly warm. I just start to pull out my phone, secured in my bra strap, when I hear a rustling of leaves.

"ADDISON!!" I hear a voice hiss.

Shocked, I twisted my head trying to figure out where exactly the voice had come from while cracking my neck in the process. I cussed, rubbing my neck. Recovering, I examined the empty lawn.

"ADDISON!!! OVER HERE, YOU PRICK!" hissed the voice once again.

Well that's not a very nice way to attract attention, I thought, still scanning the dark depths of my front garden, shivering slightly in the bitterness of the night.

I suspected that the voice must have come from Rick. The exact boy that I was waiting for. If not Rick, I should be seriously worried.

I squinted slightly, in hope that it would somehow give me magical night vision, so I could see through the darkness.

Still nothing...

'where the hell is this boy?!' I think to myself, turning 360 degrees now, to find once again nothing but my empty front lawn.

"EEEK!!!" I yelped, as a pair of strong hands poked me in the ribs from behind.

I spun around to bump into a broad chest.

I glared at the figure, then kicked the area where I suspected his leg to be.

"Ouch!!" I grabbed my foot, my cheeks blaring red in embarrassment as the throbbing pain in my foot told me that I had just missed the targeted leg and instead kicked the wall that the figure was now leaning on. Darn.

"ahaha, do you usually go around kicking your own property?" chuckled an amused Rick.

I shot him another glare then looked up at his face. Although it was dark, I could still see the outline of his features. Rick has slightly tan skin with caramel hair that is styled short, but just reaching down to his slightly arched eyebrows on one side. He has rounded brown eyes with a thick layer of eyelashes defining them more so. He gas a pointed nose and dark plump lips.He has what I would call a 'baby' or 'angel' face. The face of a cute little kid.

Although he's quite tall, his build is rather tiny but it a muscular way, so he's not too ripped, but not a skimpy little thing either. Just to suit his little baby face.

I scan his body down, processing what he's wearing. A tight fitted tee with a black, low dipping man-cardigan with sleeves rolled up in a fashionable fashion. Hes also wearing black skinny jeans and plimsolls. All of the clothing he is wearing, as am I, is the lovely shade of black.

Well...you can't exactly go burgle a house in florescent yellow safety jackets now, can you?
