Felicity's POV

I walk home and as I get my keys to open the door, I get a text message. I go in my house and put my stuff down so I can quickly check the message I received.

The message:

Hey gurl! Me and my mom are on the plane cause we didn't feel like driving you know what I mean? I'm an hour away! I'll call you when I'm 30 mins away so you can be on the way to come pick me up (if you can, which I think you can, cause idk how to drive lol). Love you bestie!!! See you later. ❤️❤️❤️

The end of the message

I smiled at it for a second before replying:

Hi bestie!Yeah I know what you mean. And fyi yes I can drive as a matter of fact. You know I'm older than you. Besides I'm cool with it. I'll keep my phone next to me just in case. I'm gonna work on my homework. Ttyl

Amethyst immediately texted back:

Lol ok. Thank you and ttyl as well.

I sit down and play my favorite songs as I work on my homework. I hear keys at the door. Even though I know it might be my mom, cause my dad comes home later in the evening, I still get up out of curiosity.

"Hello?" I say.

"Hey honey. I heard your friend was coming over. "When is she getting here?" Did you make her sleeping area ready in your room? Did you eat when you came home?" My mom starts to bombard me with questions.

"Mom *laughs a little* One question a time please." I walk over to her to hug her after she takes her coat off.

"Sorry Felicity. I've been energetic today." She apologizes.

"It's alright mom. Amethyst is coming in *checks time* 50 minutes. She's gonna call when she's 30 minutes away. I already made where she gonna sleep for the week and no I didn't eat." I answered.

Mom goes over to the kitchen and washed her hands. "Well I'm gonna start cooking something. What do you think of eating?"

"How about some tacos? And multiple so Amethyst can get some too. She loves those."

"Ok hun. You can continue your homework."

"Ok mom."

I head to my room again and play some music.

20 mins later on

Ring *I picked up the phone*

F: Hello?

A: Hey. I'm 30 mins away. I'm gonna be at the airport in a few.

F: Ok I'll be on my way. See you.

A: see ya.

*Hangs up*

"Mom Amethyst called. I have to be on my way now."

"Ok dear. Your dad will be here when he gets home from work. And the tacos will be done."

"Ok"

I grab the house and car keys. I can't wait. I put the key in the ignition and turn the car on. It's so smooth to hear the engine turn on. I pull out the driveway and head to the main road, to the highway.
