The meeting

"Gallade mega evolve!" My opponent said

"Houndoom mega evolve!" I said in response to my opponent's move

"Dooooom!" Houndoom roared as he mega evolved

"Gallade use cut!" My opponent said
My opponent's Gallade slashed at my Houndoom's side causing him to whimper

I pulled out a potion and quickly used it on Houndoom then said "Houndoom use blaze kick!"

Houndoom used blaze kick causing Gallade to stagger backward and get a burn

Before Gallade could recover I said, "Now follow it up with night slash!"

Houndoom quickly did as I commanded and used night slash causing Gallade to faint, my opponent called back Gallade before giving me two hundred dollars for winning the battle

I went to continue on my journey when I heard "Theo get going! You have school!"

I groaned as I turned off my switch and put it in my bag as I slung it over my shoulder dreading what the day had to offer as I walked downstairs

"Have a good day at school!" My mom said

"You know that is not going to happen," I said

"Not with that attitude it's not." My mom said as I walked out of the house

As soon as the door closed I started walking away from school towards an abandoned factory

As I walked into the factory I yelled "Alright I'm here! So who's going to come out today? Litwick? Mismagius? Sableye? Dusknoir?"

Suddenly after I yelled a gastly and a yamask appeared out of thin air

"So it's you two today?" I asked

"Mask!" Yamask exclaimed

"Gast!" Gastly said as he started trying to pull my backpack off with his mouth

"Alright, calm down, calm down, you'll get your treats," I said as I took off my backpack

I opened my back and pulled out a bag of Pokémon treats, Yamask made a grab for the bag but I pulled it out of his reach

"You eat while we walk if we hurry I'll only be five minutes late to school," I said as I zipped up my bag and put it back on

I walked out of the factory with Gastly and Yamask following closely as I tossed them treats, as we walked to school I noticed an electronics shop had some TVs on display that was playing a recording of a Pokémon battle between Hoenn's champion Steven and someone who wanted to take his title

"One day you two, me, and the other four back at the factory will be in a stadium like that with thousands of fans," I said nodding towards the TV

"Yamask!" Yamask said putting on a smile

After thirty minutes of walking, we made it to school and just as I said we were only five minutes late, I quickly made my way to my class and walked in

"Morning Mrs.Nelson," I said as I sat down

"Ah Theo, how nice of you to join us," Mrs.Nelson said

"Sorry, I had to pick up some friends," I said

"I see, good morning Yamask, is there anyone else joining us today?" Mrs.Nelson asked

"Gas!" Gastly said poking out from the bag of treats
