The sound of a guqin reverbrated through the night. Suddenly every movement stilled as another sound was heard again. The three fierce corpses that were fighting each other earlier suddenly stilled at the sound. Another note were released from the guqin when the corpses suddenly moved to sit down, as if there's someone commanding them.

"Hanguang-jun!" The Lan junior disciples exclaimed excitedly. They all gathered in front of the building where the said man is. Relief, respect, and amazement can be seen in their eyes as they stare at him.

"Lan Zhan." Wei Wuxian whispered softly. He stared at the man under the bright moonlight. His face is stoic as ever, expressionless as he waved his hand and his guqin disappeared in mid-air. He was dressed in all white, with his forehead ribbon which ends flatter in the wind. He looked like a carved jade, the moonlight highlighting his features. Truly deserving to be part of the Twin Jades.

Wei Wuxian should've run the moment Lan Wangji arrived but he was suddenly rooted on his place. He knows it will be a trouble if the other find out his real identity. After all, he is the Yiling Patriarch and everyone in the cultivation world despise and hate him to the core.

"Hanguang-jun, this is Childe Mo. He assisted us earlier while dealing with the corpses." He suddenly heard one of the Lan disciple said. He didn't know he was staring at Lan Wangji for so long that they're now in front of him. He knows he should run and get away now but his body won't move.

Lan Wangji then bowed at him after hearing what the junior said. He figured it must have been a sign of gratitude. But instead of bowing down in return, his mouth slipped.

"Lan Zhan." He whispered but the words were heard by everyone as they snapped to look at him. The juniors were wide-eyes at his boldness to address their honorable Hanguang-jun with his birthname. After all, only closed ones can do that.

Wei Wuxian suddenly covered his mouth after realizing what he said. He cursed himself for being stupid. Just earlier, he was saying that he should hide his real identity, but here he is, exposing his identity.

Meanwhile, Lan Wangji was stunned at the call of his name. After all, only one person was bold and brave enough to call him by that name. His heart is beating fast as he stare at the man in front of him. Unfamiliar eyes greeted him but then he can feel his soul. His mind is in turmoil as he try to assess the situation. His mind and heart are fighting.

"No it can't be him.. he died 16 years ago. There were no body or soul left of him." His mind reminded him, trying to reason out with him. But his heart opposed as he can feel his soul inside that unfamiliar body. He can't be wrong. It's his soul..

Just then, a familiar tune snapped Lan Wangji out of his stupor. He turned to where the sound is coming from.

"Jingyi, where did you hear that?" He inquired. The said junior suddenly stopped humming and answered him.

"I'm not really sure Hanguang-jun. But while we were guarding earlier, we heard it being played." The other juniors then agreed with him as they were there earlier to hear the tune.

"Hey I thought you said it sounded awful earlier." One disciple whispered at him.

"Well it was! But I can't get it out my head!" Jingyi whispered back.

"I thought it sounded familiar." The eldest of the juniors, Lan Shizui said and looked at Hanguang-jun. He was sure he heard it in Cloud Recesses before.

Lan Wangji then looked at the man in front of him one more. If earlier he wasn't sure, now he is. There's no way a random person knows that song because only one have heard it, well except him since he was the one who composed it. At that revelation, his heart beat wildly and rapidly.
