"Mom. I'm going to bed," I say. My mother just simply looks up from her book and silently nods before going back to her book. I just sigh and walk away, Sage at my heels.

Sage is a young blue Pit Bull puppy that I and my mom got from my aunt that she found as a stray. She has a bit of white on her muzzle and her stomach. Her front paws have "socks" and a white-tipped tail.

I and my mom have recently moved into a small town call Lexington, Ohio. It is a one-story house with a small attic filled with what appears to be antiques and some old broken things. The house is very open with a living room and kitchen/dining room. There are many small windows all throughout the house and a big backyard with open plains that enter a forest.

My room window faces the front yard and is the first door to the left, you see. On the right, is the dining room/kitchen. My mother's room is next to the living room, which connects to the bathroom.

I close my door and turn to face my room. I have a small dresser with a betta fish named Codey on the top of a green lava lamp. On the other side, a little away is my closet. My desk is facing the wall opposite my door and in front of my dresser is my single bed with a small bed-dresser which was underneath my window with a lamp.

Sage jumps onto my bed as I walk over and sit on my bed. I grasp an old photo album from underneath my bed and flip through the pages.

I stop on one page and stare at it. It shows a photo of a grainy B&W boy in what appears to be a suit. He has a grim expression and seems to be using two fingers to hold a dress jacket behind him. His hair is smooth back, but there were some small strands that appear to be sticking out. I assume it is taken before or after a funeral because it was taken at a cemetery.

I gaze at the photo in wonder. What is his story? What happened to him?

How did he die?

I heard Sage start growling at something and look at her. She is growling at the direction of my door and I look over at what she is growling at and gasp. At the frame of my door, is a boy! He was almost a foot taller than me with red hair about the head length and light blue eyes.

He just smiles at me and before he can say something I scream.

The last thing I saw of him was him rushing towards me.

My mom comes bursting in, wheeling a large kitchen knife that I assume is from her bedroom since she always sleeps with a weapon.

"What is it?! What's wrong?!" She gasps, frantically looking around.

"There was a boy in my room! I don't know where he went or where he came from!" I gasp back. My mom looks around my room, scanning every inch that's there.

"You sure you weren't dreaming?" She asks. I shook my head 'no' and look around again. "I'm going to call the neighbor. He's the sheriff. He'll know what's going on."

"He was about a foot taller, red hair, blue eyes, and pale skin," I describe to my neighbor. I found out his name is Sheriff Walker and that he has lived by the house for many years.

"Huh. That sounds like James Silk. He's the son who lived here with the Silk family. His mother died from a car accident and he soon committed suicide by gunshot to the heart. Rufus, the father, shortly moved out. Said he couldn't handle the memories," says Sheriff Walker.

"Were there any sightings like mine?" I ask.

"I'm not sure. No one moved into the house besides you because of the three deaths supposedly connected to it."

"But you said there were two. Who was the third?"

"James was technically the third. The second was Robert Ross, Rufus' friend. He also committed suicide through gunpoint. He left a note saying he killed James' mother, Brooklyn Silk."
