When he sobered up from laughing he put on a goofy smile and said, "I'm not gonna hurt you don't worry, I just wanted to see your reaction, and let me tell you, it was priceless!" He let out another chuckle ,his eyes crinkling at the sides when he smiled.
A small smile made its way to my lips..he seemed different, not as arrogant and rude as the other guys, and for once it didn't seem like he had an ego the size of Jupiter like all the other guys.
"Umm okay..I'm sorry, but do I know you?" I asked, hoping I hadn't met him before and simply forgot.
He smiled brightly. Woah this guy sure was a happy person. "No, but you seem nice do you want to dance?"
I raised my eyebrow, why would I dance with him?
" I - "
I started but he cut me off.
"And before you just completely blow me off, I promise there will be no grinding or groping or any other weird stuff, I simply just want a dance partner."
I was kind of shocked to say the least. That was definitely not something I had heard before.
"Wait, so you're not just being nice because you wanna 'get with me' later or something?" I blurted , a small blush making its way to my cheeks because of how straight forward that just was.
He chuckled, "No I don't wanna 'get with you' .. but umm if I was you I wouldn't cross your arms over your chest like that because it kind of makes your ..umm.. your chest area... umm...expand ..which is making all the guys in here stare..." He said first looking a bit embarrased by scratching the back of his neck but quickly getting rid of his embarrassment by chuckling it off.
I quickly dropped my arms, " Uhhhh oh okay... thanks? I guess." Feeling a bit self-conscious all of a sudden noticing the staring guys, I blushed.
He laughed which seemed to clear the awkward air. Woah, for some reason this guy didn't make me feel uncomfortable. He was really nice.
"So you'll dance with me?" he asked with a hopeful look on his face.
I smiled, "Sure..." and before I could contemplate whether I'm doing the right thing, I was being dragged to the dance floor.
What's with people and dragging me?
As soon as we made it to the dance floor I was engulfed by a crowd of people again, sweaty bodies pushed against me, but he made sure not to lose me.
Wait.. he? I just realised I don't know his name..
I quickly poked him and shouted, "Hey, what's your name?"
He looked at me and raised his eyebrows and I saw his lips moving, he was saying 'what'.
I realised he couldn't hear me so I quickly stood on my toes, putting my mouth close to his ear and asked him again, moving away quickly.
Woah, I did not expect myself to do that.
I was way too comfortable around this guy.
A shocked look crossed his face, but it quickly dissapeared. He bent down and said into my ear, "Hayden and yours?"
Shit. I realised telling him my name would recquire me to go up to his ear again. Now this might not be such a big deal, but let's just say this is not something I would do everyday.
But before I knew it I had reached up and told him.
As soon as I was back down I was shocked, did I really just tell him my name? Do I not realise how dangerous that could be? While I was scolding myself in my head his mouth was suddenly felt next to my ear again, surprising me.
"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl, but you should know its not good to tell strangers your name. I think you're gonna need someone to look after you tonight to that you don't do sonething silly."
A frown formed on my forhead and I opened my mouth to protest, not believing he practically just voiced my thoughts, but before I could say anything he mouthed let's dance.
I sighed slightly to myself, but obliged because I felt like loosening up a bit, I'm here anyway, so why be sour about it?
Slowly I started swaying my hips side to side and moving my head and my arms to the beat.
After about a minute I turned my head to look at Hayden to see him standing still frowning at me.
I immediately stopped, touching my face to see if there was something on it , but feeling nothing I realised he must've thought I was dancing weirdly...
Embarrased, I blushed.
He shook his head anf mouthed, 'What are you doing'
Confusion took over me and I was about to question him before he grabbed me and started twriling me and throwing me from side to side letting go of me sometimes to break into his own goofy dance moves.
I was shocked and didnt move at all because I didn't know what was happening.
After about a minute of him moving me he looked at me and mouthed, ' I didn't mean boring dancing'
My jaw dropped and I was slightly offended, I'm not boring!
And from there on I decided to go crazy.
We were both dancing without a care in the world, inventing weird dance moves and laughing more than I have laughed in a long time.
Hayden made me laugh so much to the point that I started crying from laughter.
I'm pretty sure I was getting a six pack from all that laughter.
Hayden was way different from what I had expected and I had to say that this was the best party I've ever been to because of him.
After hours, but it didn't feel nearly as long, Hayden dragged me off the dance floor and outside into the fresh air because it was getting way to hot inside.
We sat on the sidewalk, panting to try and gain back our breath, and smiling goofily because we were honestly high on happiness.
See, you don't have to drink or smoke to have a good time!
Suddenly Hayden said, "I always thought I had the best moves ever, but you're definitely giving me a run for my money!"
I chuckled and looked over at him smirking,
"I guess I'm a dancer."
