So maybe I'm a little different

Save me Swiftie!!!

"I'm hungry!" I complained.

"Oh hush I'm almost done. You can get food at the party." Niki replied while adding curls to her hair.

"No I won't they only have snacks and I'm sorry but that will not fill me." I said

"I know, I know you're a hungry beast. We will stop on the way to get a takeaway pizza or something." Niki replied frowning because she was struggling to find her lip gloss.

"OR we could just stay at home and eat the perfectly fine food we have here!" I suggested hopefully.

"No." was her reply. Simple like that. One word and you just know that she won the argument.

You see it's not that I hate parties I was just looking forward to staying at home tonight.

I'm also not one of those girls who would rather die than be seen in a dress. I don't mind getting dressed up a little if it's needed but the one thing I refused to do is cake make up on my face just to impress guys. No. Absolutely no.

Right now I was sitting on my bed while Niki was currently in my walk in closet doing her hair and make up.

I was already done getting ready ages ago.

I was wearing a floral print strappy crop top with a high-low salmon coloured skirt. Covered up with a crop denim jacket and plain wedges. My blonde hair cascaded down my back and instead of its usual soft natural waves it was now straightened.

I wanted to look decent because looking like a slut was something I never want to look like.

Niki was wearing a striped black and pink dress that clinged to her body.Her red hair (which all the girls are jealous of) was now in light curls. She honestly looked amazing and I can't wait to see how many guys hit on her only to get rejected because according to Niki we are still too young for love. Which I completely agree with. It's stupid to get into something when you know its going to end some time or the other. We are only in high school and there is still a whole world out there so why waste your time and get hurt.

"I'm ready!" Niki exclaimed, looking extremely excited. "Let's go!" She grabbed my hand and practically yanked me off the bed and dragged me down the stairs.

Halfway down the stairs my laptop started letting out a loud ringing sound, notifying me that I have an incoming skype call.

Niki groaned, " There is no way you are answering that, we're leaving."

"Noooo,I'll be quick, I promise! What if it's important?" I replied,doing an internal happy dance because this skype call could possibly be my ticket out of tonight's party.

"Fine, you have five minutes! Im timing you!" Niki sighed and continued down the stairs while I raced back up to my room where my laptop was.

My laptop screen read Kailyn. I squealed and quickly pressed answer.

Kailyn is one of my closest friends. She used to live with her aunt here in our town but about 8 months ago her parents wanted her to move to China and go live with them. She really didn't want to go but practically had no choice. It was extremely hard saying goodbye to her. I loved the way me and her had something in common that non of me and my other friends had, and that was...we knew how to fan girl. I completely love One Direction and she Completely loves Taylor Swift. You could easily call her the biggest swiftie on the planet.

Anyway,since she left, me and her skype call constantly and whenever we skype each other, it's usually night time (for me) and we talk for about 4 hours untill like 1 in the morning.

"Heyyyyyyyyy" I said with a huge smile on my face.

"Hii,"she replied "I haven't talked to you in like forever!"

"I know right, we have so much catching up to do!" I was silently thanking the Lord for granting me this get away from the party.

"I have so much to tell you, there is this new amazing ice cream that just came out here, and oh my word it is to die for!" She grinned. "You would love it!"

I chuckled,I missed her craziness, "I'm sure I would, anyway what you up to?"

"Just stalking Taylor Swift like always, nothing out of the norm, and before I ask you what you are doing,I think I have to tell you that if shooting lasers with your eyes was possible for humans I'm pretty sure you would be bacon right now." She said with a small amused smile on her face.

Huh?

She wasn't glaring?

"What?" I asked completely confused.

She chuckled, " Niki is standing behind you, glaring at you."

Oh.

I turned around slowly and smiled sweetly, " Oh hey Nix."

She glared even harder, if that was even possible, " Don't call me Nix, I told you 5 minutes and 5 minutes is over a long time ago! I wanna go to the party now, the cute guys are waiting." She started off angry but ended off with a pout.

"About that..I think I'm going to skip, as you can see I'm in the middle of a skype call with Kailyn and you know how important these are." I said, secretely holding my fingers criss crossed for luck, hoping she would just let me stay home.

Before Niki could reply, Kailyn spoke first, "It's fine, I really don't mind, go to the party and enjoy yourself, we can catch up another time."

I whipped my head to the computer so fast that my neck actually hurt and glared at Kailyn. I whispered, " Could you help me out here!"

"I heard that!" Niki said sounding annoyed but I knew she really wasn't.

Kailyn chuckled.

Before anyone could say anything Kailyn's phone beeped indicating she had a notification. She quickly picked up her Iphone and checked what it was.

I quickly covered my ears as she started squealing really loudly.

"Oh my word! Amberlee I am so sorry,I would love to help you out of your situation but Taylor just tweeted that she is doing a follow spree so I REALLY have to go." She said , stressing the word 'really', indicating that it is seriously important.

I pouted, "Noooo,you have to save me swiftie!"

She gave me a small smile of apology and bid her goodbyes before ending the skype call.

I can't believe this.

I was so close.

So very close to getting out of the party.

Today is not my lucky day.

I sighed and forced myself to look in Niki's direction, and as expected she was wearing a victory smile.

I groaned.

She said in a sing-song voice, " Time to goooo."

Suddenly she was dragging me out of my room, once more, and before I knew it we were outside and getting into the car my brother and Jason were patiently waiting in.

Ugh.
