Falling for Reality
As I yell
As I cry
As I laugh
As I sigh
These memories flood my mind
Consuming my thoughts
Pulling and engulfing me in.
Reminiscing the memories
Built throughout the years
Its like a roller coaster
Going up and down,
Spinning me round and round,
Dizzying me, confusing me.
Its like writing a book
experiences written and formed,
unwanted and painful events edited.
Mistakes erased in time,
Achievements saved.
Molded and changed
with the flipping of the page.
Life becomes real
Witnessing the pain
Seeing the tears
Sensing the fear
But with all the negativity
Comes the smiles
Experiencing the love
Feeling the delight.
Remembering the times,
Running through the grass
In the little clearing,
I remember.
That bright little clearing
That washed away the grime,
Sending me back in time
to when I was a child,
innocent and believing
in everything I see.
Laughing and screaming,
Twisting my head,
Seeing you behind me,
Ready to catch me.
