2| Who's that boy?

Start from the beginning

A girl with bright blonde hair and blue eyes had whipped cream smeared all over her hair that seemed to be perfectly curled.

"Ugh!" She groaned as she jumped over Eva's bed to get to the girl hiding behind her.

Near the door stood a girl with strawberry blonde hair with streaks of gold/blonde. She had been holding her stomach as she was bursting in a fit of laughter. Beside her was a girl chuckling girl with very very light blonde hair and hazel eyes.

The girl behind Eva had finally looked over and shown her face when the blonde ran into their bathroom to clean herself off.

Needless to say, Danielle and November thought they were hallucinating.

"Is it just me or are you seeing double too?" Dani asked as she moved to where November was seated in her bed

Kristi just rolled her eyes as she looked at the girls who had bursted in. "That Tevita Smits- or Tevi... she's Eva's twin sister"

"And she's annoying" Eva groaned as she pushed Tevi off of her

"The one in the bathroom is Brianna O'Connell," Kristi continued, "shes always fashionably late."

The two girls at the doorway smiled at the Americans before giving Kristi a confused look.

"Oh!" she piped, "that's November and Danielle"

Instantly, the strawberry blonde had piped up. "Oh!" She exclaimed as she came and sat on Nova's bed excitedly, "I'm Matilda Steinfeild- but please, call me Tilly"

November nodded before she saw the other one coming over. "And I'm Mackenzie Black but most people call me Mack..." she smiled. November couldn't help but notice the girls eyes trail to the pictures on Nova's bed

"Oh pictures!" She instantly topic changed. The girl hopped onto the bed and excitedly looked through the pictures scattered around.

Danielle and November exchanged slightly bewildered glances before Kristi came over and whispered to them. "She has ADHD.."

November nodded and couldn't help but smile at how hyperactive she was. She was like a small puppy.

"Oh I like the picture in your hand!" She exclaimed, "who's that boy?"

November furrowed her eyebrows as she looked down at the picture she was holding. Instantly, her heart dropped. Danielle was the only one who knew and her eyes trailed to where November's expression fell.

Nova swallowed the lump in her throat as she felt her eyes slightly tearing up. She reminisced on the day as if it were yesterday. She remembered how happy she was. How close they were.

She breathed out shakily and luckily, nobody else had payed attention to her mood change. She tried to muster up a smile but she just couldn't when she saw the picture. The picture of her and Adam.

The two were twelve years old and it was winter. They were out on the lake and Connie had managed to get this picture of them with a polaroid camera she had gotten for Christmas. The two didn't even know she was taking the photo. Simply, they were just messing around.

Adam held tightly on Nova's wrists in front of her as he had a smile plastered on his face. She could hear him saying 'November, give it back' with his laugh as she looked at the photo. She had his hat on her head as she tried to skate away form him but he had gotten a hold of him.

"Oh this ones cute too!" She heard Mack trail on but November was stuck in her thoughts. She sighed and put the photo down on the bed as she just thought about everything. It was as if she couldn't ever get away from him. Like everything reminded her of him.

The thing that pained her most though was the thought that he probably hadn't even thought about her at all. After all, she thought that to him, she was just the girl who left.

ADAM BANKS RAN A HAND through his hair as he rolled his eyes again. Connie Moreau hadn't ever lost hope in Adam and Nova. But truly, nobody had the power to lose hope in the two. They're Adam and November after all.

Some part of Connie's mind had a void where she felt all this was pointless but her entire heart was saying to keep faith in them.

"Just one simple call" Connie pleaded as she squirmed beside him.

Adam sighed and glanced to Guy who was calmly sitting beside his girlfriend, observing their conversation. "Can you make her stop?"

Guy just chuckled and shook his head. "Yes," he said before he took a sip of his water, "but I don't want to.."

Connie smirked at him before turning her gaze back to Adam. "She did nothing wrong! Just talk to her!"

"Connie, I already told you, I don't want to talk about it" he said softly

Connie sighed in defeat before narrowing her eyes at him. "This isn't over, Blondie"

Adam nearly choked on the water he was drinking as Connie stomped away and went to sit by Julie, who was laughing about something with Luis and Dwayne.

Adam felt his heart drop at the nickname. Only November had ever called him that and to say at the least, he didn't like it when others called him it. Then again, Adam only liked being called cake-eater if Nova were the one calling him it. However, she rarely ever called him cake-eater.

Everyone assumed Adam just disliked or hated November at this point but he didn't. He couldn't ever. In fact, he never actually mentioned how he felt about her ever since she had left. Every time someone asked he'd just say, 'I don't want to talk about it' or change the topic.

Adam always tried to play off that he unfazed whenever her name was brought up into conversation or whenever something reminded him of her- but it never fully worked out. Every time, he couldn't help but feel his face drop, even if it were for a second. No matter how hard he tried to get his mind away from her, something brought it back to her. Even hockey. Especially hockey.

Adam always felt this sharp feeling in his gut anytime he thought about her. About her leaving. He didn't know if it was pain or regret but nonetheless, he knew he didn't like it. Ever since she had left he's felt like the days had gotten longer. He felt like life was more dull... even hockey wasn't the same. He just thought it was because part of him was sad that she was gone. But it wasn't.

Truly, at the far back of his mind, he knew why. He just couldn't put it to words. It's like he couldn't even think about her for more than five minutes without wanting to break down. Every thought pained him and he thought wanted to get rid of them... but really, he doesn't. He can't stop anyway. He just doesn't want to stop thinking about the girl, no matter how much it hurts him. His thoughts were all he had of her. Not thinking about her, to him, was worse than constantly thinking about her- despite the pain. A small part of him just knew that if he ever stopped thinking about her, it would be like she was completely erased from his life. Honestly though, even if he wouldn't admit it to himself, Adam Banks knew he couldn't take it if November Collins was completely gone from his life....
