Parallel Worlds

1. The Change of routine

Not so long ago that I remember having a perfect day....all of that ended when a great tragedy of my life happened!
You see,I lost my parents ten years ago and from that day on, I never had a day were I could feel the happiness of being complete. Ever since then, I was taken care of by my uncle, David, he was my mom's younger brother. He was always there for me.

"Get up already Judy!! You are going to be late for school!"had a dream again I guess. "IAM up already uncle." *Getting ready*. IAM Judy Gordon, an  sixteen year old high school girl, studying in the most prestigious school in town. Well, I have nothing much to do at school, I don't have any friends, so, I spend most of my time reading. This is the only thing IAM good at basically.

"Here! Don't forget your homemade lunch! It's quite rare you know Judy,that most of your friends don't bring these kind of things. You know that right?"
"Of course uncle! IAM happy you are always there for me. Thank you for everything."
"Bye now Judy! See you soon"
*Waving hand towards him*
I hope today I might get to be noticed by my crush!

Ohh! There he is, the guy walking next to me. His name is Edward. I have always had a eye on him. He is handsome, well built, sport cult and also gets good grades! Who doesn't want a boyfriend like that.
I wanted to talk to him so badly but that would not be possible,he is always surrounded by girls.

I was looking out of the window and just then, a girl came and stood in front of me. I couldn't make out what she was saying...I was too much indulged looking outside.

She came close to my ears and  said:
"Hey! Bookworm, have you got anything on your mind."
That's hana, she is sort of considers me as her friend. She is the only one I actually have conversations with.

"nothing really. I was wonder about today's occasion. Seems like a game challenge or something."

"OMG Judy!? Do you even exist in this class! What were you doing when it was being announced yesterday?"

"I don't know. What is it about please tell me".

"It can't be helped I suppose.
*Sign* well, we have a interclass challenge on the Treasure hunt game it seems. And they also mentioned that everyone should participate in it with out fail."

"Seems like there is no escape for me this time" I said

"Come on judy, it is going to be fun you'll see!"
*Speakers sound switched on*

Teacher: " all students gather near the football ground. We are going to take your attendence and proceed with the games"

Everyone were excited as always,but for me.. to take part in something ,was itself a miracle.
I was happy for a bit, to play along side my crush. I hope I could break the ice with him.

*People gathering near football ground*

Announcer:" you all know the rules of the game.
Let me make it simple, find a green stone and bring it back  within the school hours. Good Luck!"

Teacher: " your time starts now"

"I must stay with hana...ok..I can do this. It's just a game!" I said to myself.

We went to the top floor of  our school, it looked quite deserted compared to the other part of our school.

I asked hana" why don't we just go to the other side of the building? There is no way the stone is up here"

Hana was quite confident. She replied"this kind of place always offers you the one we are looking for so, don't worry and keep looking"

Easy for her, I thought

More over, there were so many rooms and  we could not go through all of them within the given time!

I stood further away, and then closed my eyes and pointing my finger towards the doors in front of me and counted from one to ten, whichever door I point when I stop counting ,then I would go to that room and search.

I did as I presumed. I  stood next  to the door I chose, grabbed the door knob with hesitation and swung open the door!

I went inside and peeked thoroughly, corner to corner. I could not find anything.

I opened the door, and called out to Hana" Hey! Hana. I couldn't find anything."

I was standing in the door way. But I could not hear her voice.
So, I stepped outside and shouted back to her. Again no reply came.

Then I started searching for her. To my astonishment, she was nowhere to be found!

I had no courage left in me to  go down stairs.
Then I heard some foot steps climbing towards by direction.
It must be Hana, I thought.
I quickly moved towards the sound, calling out to her.

To my surprise, IT WAS Edward!

After seeing him, I couldn't move a step.

He came towards me and hugged me and said" where were you? I was worried."
" What?! You were worried for me?!" I shouted! With surprise!

"Why shouldn't I worry about you? After all you are my girl friend, right? He smirked.
