Lara Green

Liren grabbed onto my hand, leading my down towards the shoreline. I've never been out here before, and by the looks of it, not really anyone else has. I wore my white dress for tonight. It goes down to my knees, and it's tight until my waist, where it flows out. It has long sleeves, and the entire thing is plain. It's simple, but I love it.

I curled my hair and pinned two strands from the front into an X behind my head. I threw some of the curls over my shoulder as well. I did my makeup so beautifully as well. A least, I hope I did. I used a creamy champagne coloured eyeshadow and made the perfect eyeliner wings. My mascara looks so clean, and my lips are a light peachy colour.

The moon reflects off the lapping waves. Liren seems nervous, and almost flustered. It's like I can feel it, though. Something good is going to happen tonight. He turns and looks at me, his cheeks pink. He gives my hand a quick squeeze, then picks me up around the waist, twirling me around. A bubble of laughter escapes from my mouth and I grab onto his biceps.

He sets me down and kisses my forehead.

"You mean the world to me, Miss. Green." My cheeks heat up. "You make my days worth living. Without you, I'd be nothing. You're smart, kind, and I swear you get more beautiful everyday. You mean all of Lorien to me." He gets down on one knee, and I can't help it. Just like those cliche human movies we had to watch in Earth history class, my hands cover my mouth, tears streaming down my face.

He pulls out a beautiful ring with a golden band. The diamond sparkles in the midnight moon light.

"Will you marry me, Lara?"

I fall down to my knees and press my lips to his.

"I'd be honoured to marry you."

Liren Jones

I feel so nervous. It's like there is a knot in my stomach. I'm walking hand in hand with the most beautiful girl in all of Lorien. Lara. She looks absolutely stunning tonight. She is always stunning. Anyone with eyes could see that. Her golden hair falls in such precise curls. She pinned back two strands to the back of her head. It's so pretty.

Her dress is plain and simple, and I love it. I was the one who asked her to try it on. She seemed hesitant at first but ended up loving it. Her eyes are incredibly blue, like two sapphires.

As we make it to the beach, my heart is pounding. I'm so nervous. What if she says no, or she doesn't feel like she is on the same place I'm in? She grins at me, and I know she knows what I'm about to do. I take a deep breath and pick her up, spinning her around. She laughs and holds onto my arms, her dress blowing in the wind.

I set her down and kiss her forehead.

"You mean the world to me, Miss. Green." My heart is beating so loud I'm sure she can hear it. "You make my days worth living. Without you, I'd be nothing." I feel my voice cracking. "You're smart, kind, and I swear you get more beautiful every day." Her cheeks are a bright red.

"You mean all of Lorien to me." I finish with as I get down on one knee. She covers her mouth, her eyes reflecting from the tears streaming down her face. Oh god, those better be happy tears.

She shakes her head as she falls down onto her knees in front of me, grabbing my face and pressing her lips to mine.

"I'd be honoured to marry you."

Her lips crash onto mine again, her hair tickling my cheeks. Even I start crying, our tears mixing together. She pulls away laughing, wiping her cheeks.

"Thank goodness to waterproof makeup," I wipe off a tear from her cheek and laugh.

"You'd be beautiful with or without perfect makeup." She lightly punches my arm and starts running, kicking her shoes off.

"Come on, slow poke!" She pulls her dress up just above her knees and runs into the water, kicking and splashing around. A laugh escapes from deep inside my chest, and I kick off my own shoes. I roll up the hems of my pants, running into the ocean after her. When I get near her, she uses her telekinesis to completely soak me.

I scream, shocked by the sudden coolness, and dive down under the water. I can see her spinning around, searching for me.

"Liren?" She calls out into the night. I grab her around the waist and she yelps in surprise, laughing. "You scare..." I cut her off with a kiss.

"I love you."

"I love you too." She leans towards me, but then instead splashes me in the face. She laughs, flinging her hair out of her face. "I'm sorry, I had to," she places her hand on my cheek.

"Very funny," and I kiss her.
