—- -
he looks out the grimy windowsill atone a oak wood countertop, shifting his gaze onto the streets- though specifically the local deli located just parallel of the bar.

shuffles of footsteps, shadows, then a group of adolescents emerge onto kageyama's field of vision. they head towards a liquor store that is smack dab in the MIDDLE of a t-junction.

they wear colourful, animal masks on their face. the theme of the costume sounds nice so far, yeah? though these masks are decorated with pentagrams, crosses, slurs, anything inappropriate.
the ink of the images drip down, creating an unsettling effect.

who knows? maybe it's not ink after all.

kageyama's not even horrified, the least that these kids can do are probably beating up a bunch of people, taking their money, starting a drug cartel, ruling over the black market, just teenager stuff.

one of the kids slows down his pace, locking eyes with kageyama.
kageyama flinches.
the kid's mask is a little different from the others, his looks to be shaped like a black... bird.. and his is not heavily decorated like the others.

just a simple capitalized 'H' at the cheek. the kid turns his head sideways, while twirling a pocket knife in his right hand.

kageyama reaches for his glock g19, stealing a quick glance behind him making sure oikawa has not moved from his spot.

the kid grasps at the crest of his bird mask, pulling it down. he slightly struggles at the rubber material gripping on his head.

then an orange bed of hair emerges.

an orange bed of hair that kageyama knows all too well.
the kid meets his pointer finger with his lips, winking before disappearing into the night.

kageyama pales. sweat trickles down his neck, his eyes are waiting to pop out of its sockets. his hands trembles staggeringly.

"you okay there..?" oikawa queries.

kageyama's chest heaves up and down, he switches his gaze to oikawa.
"he's supposed to be dead."
