Now her fellow classmates call her princess in the hallways and people who never even blinked in her direction want to be her new best friend —as if!
Jo knows that her life will never be the same — that she can never be just Jo ever again — but it's reassuring to find that some things never change. Like the fact that the Gryffindor house colors are still atrocious no matter how you wear them. Or that she can still beat a bludger like no one's business. Or that she still sort of wants to kiss/kill her best friend's quidditch-playing brother ... but that's beside the point.
Being a teenager is hard enough. Being a teenage witch is even harder —especially with the threat of magical war on the horizon. But balancing an entire kingdom on top of all that?
