I turned over on my bed, knowing that my brother would come crashing in sometime soon. I could hear his soft footsteps against the hard wood floor. I turned back over to look at the time. It was eight a.m. I knew I was going to be late, but I really didn't care.

I needed my sleep. Last night I had snuck out to a party, that I regretted going to. Every thing there had been pandemonium. The food was nasty. I felt nauseous for the whole night.

There was a loud bang and instantly, I heard a shriek.  I sat up, and slipped my bunny slippers onto my freakishly small feet. I knew my parents wouldn't be awake yet and I was technically my brothers nanny. I had to do something no matter how tired I was.

My slippers were squeaking as I took each step. My tiredness was eating me alive. I shouldn't have to be dealing with something like this. I mean, it's not my kid. It should be my parents who takes care of him all the time. I should at least get a break.

"Uh, it hurts so bad."

"Ok, where does it hurt?"

"Everywhere"

"I'll take you to mom and dad."

I lifted him up. I glanced down after his body lost contact from the floor. There was a large puddle of blood. What was a walk, quikly turned into a run once I saw how badly he was hurt.
