The missing puzzle piece (KiriKamiDeku)

Chapter Two

I woke up, blinking my eyes slowly. It was still dark outside, so i closed my eyes again, It felt like i had been crying, and the tears had dried, so i rubbed them, and closed them again, peacefully breathing.

I stiffened when i felt something tense around my waist, Without breathing i looked behind me and saw someone, as my eyes adjusted and i recognised the duel-colored hair of Todoroki, I remembered what happened the day before and relaxed again.

I was grateful for Todoroki's presence, but i didn't like him in the same way i did Kirishima and Kaminari. 

I blushed thinking of them, Kaminari's Black streak in his hair, and caught myself wondering if it was natural, or he had dyed it to match his quirk, and Kirishima's red hair. He had told us it was originally black. I tried to imagine him with black hair and giggled to myself.

I caught myself falling into a spiral of thinking about them, then i remembered what happened last night and snapped myself out of it. They were soulmates, i just have to focus on finding mine.

I grabbed my puzzle piece, everyone usually tends to keep it around their necks at all times, even when showering. For some reason it's almost impossible to lose it, if you place it somewhere and forget, or throw it into a lake, it always re-appears.

I looked at it, it was dark, but i could easily see the colors. the left and right were both green, and in the middle, the left was red, and the right was yellow. It was all sectioned out in straight lines, down it.

I smiled, it was familiar, and comforting and i knew it well. I smiled, holding it to my chest i fell asleep.

-Todoroki's POV- 

I woke up, Midoriya was moving, i didn't want to move so i pretended to be asleep still. I opened my eyes, since we was facing away from me so he wouldn't know.

He grabbed at his puzzle piece and hugged it to his chest.

I felt sorry for him. I knew how hard it was when your crushed dont like you back. I felt Midoriya's breath even out as he fell back asleep. 

Midoriya was a good person, he was my first friend at UA, so i felt i owed him as much comfort as i could. When he fell asleep i tried to leave, but he grabbed onto my shirt, which is why i fell asleep with him.

I sighed silently, closing my eyes and quickly falling asleep again.

-Time skip to the morning , Izuku's POV-

I woke up to my alarm clock, I reached forward and clipped the top with my hand, turning it off. i felt Todoroki move his arm from my waist and he sat up, i just layed back down closing my eyes.

"Midoriya! Wake up!" Todoroki said, shaking my shoulder. I whined and rolled over, looking at him. Todoroki smirked, "C'mon sleepy head," I laughed, propping myself up on my elbow i pouted. 

Todoroki smiled and laughed, rubbing my head before standing up and headed for the door. "Hey todoroki," I called. He turned around, "thank you," I smiled, finishing my sentence. Todoroki smiled again, "If you ever need me i'm here for you!" he smiled, leaving and closing the door.

I sat up fully once he was gone and looked at the time. sighing, i jumped up and hopped in the shower. I turned the water on, it was cold, and gradually got warmer. Once it was the right temperature i slipped out of my cloths and hopped in, wetting my hair.

I washed my hair, and myself quickly, and brushed my teeth in the shower before turning the water off and drying myself off. I put on my uniform and stuffed some books into my bag. I checked the time again.

I walked to my bathroom and looked in the mirror, hyping myself up for the day. I pushed my cheeks up, which made me chuckle at how much of a child i looked like. 

I smiled, and grabbed my bags and started towards the common room, reaching the elevator, it stopped and opened, Kacchan was already in the elevator.

"Hey kacchan!" A chirped and smiled as i entered. "Whatever nerd. What put you in a good mood today." Kacchan growled. He acted mean, but deep down i know he cared, in his own special way. "I just realized how child-like i looked!" i laughed and kacchan rolled his eyes. "You only just realised? I could have told you that, much sooner deku." 

The elevator doors opened and kacchan left without saying a word, i followed too. Todoroki was already in the common room, having some cereal. He looked up at me and waved without smiling. Todoroki never really smiled in front of others, i was shocked that i had even gotten to see it last night. 

I waved back, grabbing a bowl and poured some milk and cereal and sat next to Todoroki. We just ate, listening to other people's conversations.

We sat there until Kirishima and Kaminari walked in together, Kaminari was wrapped around kirishima's arms. I stared at a moment before looking down and staring into my empty bowel.

"You know you're supposed to wash it right?"  i look over at todoroki, He had stood up and was looking down at me and put his hand on my shoulder. I smiled and stood up too, Todoroki moved his hand. "Sorry, i zoned out," I smiled and put my bowel in the dishwasher, it was full, so i turned it on, and it started running.

"Hey midoriya!" I jumped as Kaminari called over to me, "Hey!" Kirishima followed. I was flustered and just stood there for a moment, todoroki walked behind me and whispered, "Say hey back," and walked back. "H-hey" i waved back, smiling.

 I turned around quickly, wishing the floor would swallow me up. I walked over to the couch and sat down next to Ururaka, watching the TV. 

I wasn't really paying attention to the TV, i heard Kirishima and Kaminari talking in hushed voices at the counter. I tried to pick up what they were saying, but i only picked up some words, which didn't make any sense.

Ururaka went back up to her dorm and todoroki replaced her. "Hey izuku," Todoroki said, I was shocked he used my first name, but Todoroki still looked unphased. "Well hey Shoto," I smirked and looked over at him. He was shocked at first, but laughed it off. "It's a while since i heard that." he replied calmly. 

we watched TV a bit before Mina came and sat on the arm of the couch next to me. "Where'd you two go off to last night?" Mina asked, looking at me and Shoto. We looked at each other for a moment. "I felt unwell, and i went up to my room and went to sleep." I answered. 

"Aww, hope your feeling better!" Mina hopped of the couch and left. I looked at shoto and he raised an eyebrow, i shrugged, just as confused as he was.

We smiled at each other. Shoto looked away before anyone saw him smiling. "C'mon, it's time to go!" Iida rounded us all up and we left for school. I grabbed my all might backpack and followed everyone out the door and we all walked to the school ground.

I walked behind everyone else, taking in the scenery. I was looking at some flowers, i didn't even realize Kirishima had fallen behind to talk to me. "Hey midoriya!" I jumped at my name. "Oh hey, Kirishima." I smiled, trying my best not to blush, but for the most part i think it worked.

"What happened last night?" He asked, his face looked concerned. "Mina said you were sick, Just wanted to make sure you were okay," He continued when i didn't respond. "Oh, i think i ate something bad, i was throwing up, but i'm good now." I smiled.

Kirishima smiled back at me, "Why are you all the way back here anyway?" He asked, and we continued walking. "I was looking at the flowers, White roses are my favorites." He laughed, and we got to the school building.

"Cya!" Kirishima called and walked over to bakugo and his group. I breathed for a moment before heading straight to the classroom.
