Jaemin chokes slightly, barely able to calm himself down.
Ten smirks. "I'm right. You do like him."
"W-well..I mean..." Jaemin glances to the side. It was scary to feel like this again. For someone to enter his life like this. The reason he cut off dating was because he decided to just focus on his future. His grief was so much that he couldn't let anyone care for him. It would just remind Jaemin of his sister. He sighs when Ten puts a hand on his shoulder.
"You're scared, aren't you..." Jaemin nods sadly, but Ten just smiles softly. "I know it's scary Jaemin. You're so used to being independent."
"I didn't think I'd have anyone anymore. At least not like this."
"I know Jaeminnie...But there's nothing wrong with letting someone in. To let someone care for you again. I know it isn't Hayoon, and I understand how hard this is for you. But Jaemin, I think Jeno is worth it. I think he's worth opening up for. As much as you'd like to believe that you can go out on your own, Jaemin...we both know how lonely you are. We both know you want someone in your life again. But you don't deserve to be alone anymore Jaemin. Jeno doesn't want you to be alone anymore. He's here for you...You know that..."
"I know..."
"He won't leave you. I can see the way you two look at each other. Soulmates aren't real but damn, you two are the closest I've seen to soulmates. Maybe in another life, you two really were soulmates, marked by each other, bound together for the rest of your life. You just need to trust in Jeno, alright?"
Jaemin nods and looks at his friend. "Alright." He smiles softly, glad to have someone like Ten in his life. As much as the older was wild, inappropriate, and extremely strange...he was caring. He was wise, and he knew Jaemin like the back of his hand. He was there for the boy, like a true friend indeed.
"Thank you Ten."
"That's hyung to you, I might be foreign but I still care about formalities." He playfully glares at Jaemin who just laughs.

Jaemin comes home to find his dad in the living room....which was very strange considering it's been over a week since Hayoon and Mrs. Na's death anniversary. He would be back in his office by now.
"Dad...?"
"Oh Jaemin." The man turned to his son who was standing in the doorway. His backpack was slung over his shoulder, his black, large bomber jacket and Doc Martin's contrasting with his bright white hoodie and gray, straight leg ripped jeans. Jaemin's hair was slowly fading in color, making his father think about the fresh honey color that Jaemin would get every month. "I just got an email from the school." He beckons his son into the living room, making the boy sit next to him on the couch.
"Did something happen?"
"Yeah, turns out you got accepted into Seoul National University on a full, 4 year scholarship." Mr. Na turns the computer towards his son, showing him the email.
"No fucking..." He turns to his dad, eyes wide. "Seriously?" Mr. Na only nods, confirming it wasn't fake. Jaemin laughs in disbelief, SNU was hands down, the best college in South Korea. And to get in with a full scholarship was downright insane. All the studying, all the sleepless nights and extra credit...It all paid off.
