Switched

Chapter 1

Aang awoke in the middle of the night, he wasn't exactly sure why but something just felt off. he went to get a drink of water as he heard footsteps behind him. he quickly turned around only to see Katara standing there in her nightgown. she had probably been woken up when he left the bed.

"Are you okay?" Aang thought about this for a moment. He was fine, and he didn't want her to worry her with nothing.

"I'm fine." he gave her a little smile and stepped up to reassure her that everything was definitely alright. "C'mon let's go back to bed and get some rest."

The next day was going to be a fun one as Toph, Zuko and Sokka were planned to come visit the little island that Aang and Katara had built to live on. They were going to practice bending and just have some good bonding time. Aang and Katara waited outside for their guests staring off into the vast ocean just off the coast of the earth Kingdom. They watched and waited till they spotted a machine rising out of the water. A figure rose out of the submarine contraption, a figure with a very familiar boomerang and ponytail. 

The biggest smile spread across Katara's face as she and Aang both ran towards the shore. "Sokka!" 

"Little Sister!" They practically smashed into each other

"It's been so long since we last saw you."Katara pointed out while giving him a slight elbow in the side. 

"I know, I'm sorry but I've been really busy helping dad out back home." Sokka explained. But was interrupted. 

Aang shouted "Guys look!" he pointed up towards the sky. All of their attention was turned up as as a shadow loomed over them, a fire nation hot air balloon, Zuko.

Zuko stepped out of his balloon and began to grin, "Sorry I'm late I got held up at the palace." Sokka began to laugh.

"So sorry to interrupt your royal life your majesty." He bowed and laughed and his friend. 

"Aw cut it out." Aang shoved Sokka to which Sokka replied

"Where's Toph?" and as if on cue they felt the ground rumbling and out of the ground popped their small friend.

"What's up losers?" Toph grinned, strolling over to her friends she smirked then suddenly made a swift movement, launching a rock into the air right towards Aang. "Heads up Twinkle toes!" 

Aang pushed a fist out crumbling the rock into pieces causing everyone to duck. "What was that for?" Aang said while everyone popped back up.

"Just checking that you're on your feet." she claimed and shrugged. "What'dya say we all do some training today? Good old practice to keep your mind fresh?" she said punching the air, making fake shots.

Everyone took a glance at each other. It had been a while since any of them had done any fighting with each other, and it never hurt to train, even with them all being masters of their specific bending styles. 

"Why not?" Zuko said. 

Everyone grinned. "Let's go around to the back then, there's a bit more room back there and we're going to need it." Aang and Katara started walking to the back of the house and the others followed, they were all almost giddy. It had been so long and they were curious as to how this would turn out. The backyard had grass but also a large stone circle in the middle, for training purposes.
