The Dothraki are a race of nomadic horse-mounted warriors in Essos – the continent to the east of Westeros across the Narrow Sea. They inhabit the vast central plains of Essos, the "Dothraki sea". Their bond with horses is such that Dothraki are said to be born, fight, and die in the saddle.

The Free Cities are nine powerful, independent city-states located across the Narrow Sea from Westeros (they occupy the western end of the massive continent of Essos). They're constantly engaged in extensive trade contact with the Seven Kingdoms and lands further east.

Varys: An eunuch, master of whisperers at the court of King Joffrey Baratheon.
Illyrio Mopatis: Fat rich man, alley to Daenerys Targaryen.

🌬𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓'𝐒 𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇
The Night's Watch is a military order which holds and guards the Wall to keep the wildlings and White Walkers from crossing into the Seven Kingdoms. The order is a shadow of its former strength and its meager forces have been decimated by recent attacks from both wildlings and White Walkers. For the past couple of centuries, the order has been led from Castle Black.

Jeor Mormont (the Old Bear): Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.
Jon Snow: Bastard to Lord Eddard Stark of Winterfell, steward and squire of the Old Bear.
