Scars Of The Past

Ripper's POV

The sun rose upon the land as i opened my eyes and looked at my neck wounds and they partially healed after what happened yesterday
I looked at blue who was still asleep

I suddenly felt an urge to strike her down here and now and yet i refused something was keeping me from tearing her apart what was it?

I slowly got up as i walked out of the cave to search for any food for the both of us i walked down the mountain as i could smell something as i went down the smell started getting closer as i saw what it was

An adult triceratops carcass

I looked around and saw nothing i looked at the dead dinosaur and i can tell whatever killed this thing was almost finished eating it i looked around again then i see something horrifying

A footprint

A large one at that and it had 3 toes and i was scared that a giant predator was nearby and i looked around trying to find the creature but nothing was there and that was when i decided to take the carcass although it wasn't easy considering this was an adult but i tried anyways

MEANWHILE

Blue's POV

I woke up as i can see the light of the sun illuminating from outside i turn towards my left and i was shocked

Ripper wasn't there

I searched the entire cave for him and yet no luck he was nowhere to be seen

"why would he do this?" i asked myself "did he just leave?" i thought as i saw something outside that made me very surprised

A triceratops carcass being pushed to the cave

I gasp as i thought that a large predator had somehow gotten up the mountain as i hid in one of the rocks as the carcass got closer i start to see the creature that was pushing it

"hey blue? Are you here?" a voice asked from outside

I let out a big sigh of relief as i could see ripper pushing the carcass up the mountain and i came out of my hiding spot to help him drag it in the cave

"where were you?" i asked

"i was just taking a walk" he answered

"a walk? Then why are you suddenly dragging a fully grown triceratops up the mountain? that doesn't seem like a normal walk to me" i said

"did you hunt it?" i asked

"no i just found it lying on the ground with a bunch of footprints" he answered as we dragged it inside the cave

"what do you think could have done this? You know more about dinosaurs than i do so what species do you know that can take out a fully grown triceratops?" he asked as i thought of multiple predators that are capable of killing a adult triceratops then i remember one

"Tyrannosaurus Rex" i answered

"a what now?" he asked

"it means tyrant lizard king its one of the strongest carnivores i know" i answered

Ripper's POV

"alright then tell me about this tyrannosaurus rex" i said

"okay" she said as she explained to me every single detail she knew about tyrannosaurus rex

"i've never heard of a carnivore this powerful before" i said "tell me have you ever encountered one of these or at least had a good look of one?" i asked

"well there was that one time---" she trailed off as she frowned ".....you know what? I dont want to talk about it" she said taking a bite out of the carcass
