Chapter 7: Diamonds!

Joshua's POV

So it was me and Mo (that was my nickname for him. There wasn't the greatest amount of things you could call somebody called PopularMMO's). We were on a quest that would endure for a long time. To get enough diamonds to gear up the whole crew! It would be rough, it would be tiresome, it would probably take us an inventory of steak just to be prepared, but we would do it!

"So," Mo chuckled, "ready to mine?"

I showed him the assortment of picks I had stocked in my backpack. He laughed, We grabbed the bag bulging with steaks and headed down, all geared up.

It took us one Minecraft week to find a patch of diamonds. This was going slow. We needed a fatser method. So we tried strip mining. It worked quicker, but we were still wanting more. It was hard to find diamonds. 

Mo was always questioning.

"Well," he said, "what to do?"

Suddenly, I felt a sudden urge to go to the left. I couldn't control it. I started to mine. There before us were thousands of diamonds!

"WE DID IT!" I screamed.

The two of us began to mine as fast as we could. We also gathered twelve obsidian blocks while we were at it.

Just then, an evil voice began to chickle.

"Yes," it said. "Mine your precious diamonds. You will soon fall in my grip, and you will have to go to my domain, or else one of you will slip."

I didn't like the sound of that. Neither did Mo. We headed back to the surface. We had only been down in the caves about a Minecraft month, but these diamonds made me uneasy. 

Who was talking? What was his domain? Who would slip? And what did slip mean? All these questions clouded my thinking. I shook my head and walked up. 

Something was wrong. I knew it.
