The night was a hot one, surprisingly not that much cooler than the day but the heat was more bearable. Only one tribute died in the night Callum Bench from Area 7 was killed in his sleep, a very sneaky and sly kill from Matthew Scott from Area 10. Matthew had a blade and spear and plunged the spear into Callum's Heart.
But the morning came soon enough and the sun started to beat down on the sand heating it up. Tributes could find sun cream in backpacks had they been able to grab any. The ones that didn't woke up this morning with sun burns or at least most of them did. They need to either find sun cream or get lucky from a sponsor.
But like anything in the games your chances of dying from natural causes can be just as high as dying from a knife or blade. As proven at 2pm this afternoon, Penelope Willow from Area 9 dropped dead from dehydration if only she had been able to find the small pond where tributes keep getting there water from. It's quite surprising that Area 1 and 2 are not guarding it so they can kill or wait people out to die.
Other natural deaths can occur during your times in the games Jake Wills was busy explaining to us the things that could kill you in this years games. "As we saw there are some snakes in the arena that can kill you. There are also ants that can kill you if you received over ten bites from these ants you'd be dead from poisoning, more than five and you'd be rather ill, under five you might just have some sore lumps on your arms. We also have some genetically made wasps in this years games there is only one hive but the same rules apply for the wasps as they do for the ants. Tributes need to look out!".
Not everyone is lucky to get sponsored gifts in the arena but the ones that do must be well liked and lucky. In fact the game makers decided to do a sponsored gift hour, sending things into the arena would be half price for one hour only. You would think with thirty two tributes left most people would get one but that wasn't the case. Only eight people got a sponsored gift in that hour. Alfie Leaf from Area 1 received a sponsored gift first which of course he was sort of made to share with the other four people in his alliance. Alfie was sent a water bottle which allowed him to not need to go to the pond so often for a drink. Sharing it between five people didn't stop them from returning many times but it would help further in the games. The second person to get a sponsored gift was Bobby Lockwood from Area 1, he received a shrunken watermelon. He got a card attached to it saying to dip the snowball sized watermelon into the pond and it would grow back to its original size in about thirty seconds. He too had to share it with his alliance, but they decided to save it for a bit later. Jerome Copper from Area 12 was third with a sponsored gift he received a pocket knife with a few tools on it for basic needs, since he had no weapons. Poppy Miller from Area 3 was forth also receiving a bottle of water to refill. Ashleigh Marsh from Area 2 was fifth with a special medical nose holder to wear on her nose, after she was kicked her nose was very bruised and bleed slightly. The nose holder released treatment into her skin to repair the nose from getting any worst and would in a few days return to normal if she wanted to wear it for that long. Jayden Beales from Area 9 received a packet of already cooked bacon to eat so he didn't even have to make a fire to cook it. Michael Moore from Area 11 received some sun cream due to his skin being slightly burnt already. Finally just within the time limit of the sponsored gift hour a final gift was sent to Nathan Dolan from Area 6 he received an umbrella to keep himself out of the sun whilst laying down on the sand.
However the tributes who didn't receive gifts didn't know anything about the hour so they were not effected by not getting one. Perhaps some tributes didn't need anything or some were not popular enough. One person who could have used a sponsored gift was Bradley Williams from Area 4 Bradley was hungry and found a plant growing by a tree and decided to eat it. It was a bad move minutes later just after the sponsored hour was over he started throwing up, the heat wasn't helping his condition. He laid on the sand feeling weak and looked pale. He knew he was going die at this point, with his last piece of energy he spoke to the sky, "I love you mum and dad and my brother Zack". He turned his head away from the sky and took a couple more breaths before his heart gave out.
"Area 4 is the first Area to be out of The Hunger Games. Unfortunately for them they have lost all four of there tributes. Perhaps next year they will do better" Jake Wills announced looking sad and disappointed.
Certain tributes in the games were already struggling and it was only the second day in the arena. By 5pm Elliot Bloom was struggling to keep himself alive he had received five stings from the wasps nest. Anymore and he would have been in real trouble and could possibly die. With only five stings he boarder lined being ill. He grew black swollen lumps where he was stung, two on his right arm, one on his left shoulder. One on his left wrist and the last was on his upper back. He thought that was the worst of his pain, if he touched them or moved his limp in certain ways it made them hurt more. However at 8pm that night he begun feeling ill he became quite pale and felt very sick. He didn't know how to help himself.
At 9:23pm the canon boomed with Jayden Beales picture in the sky. His cause of death was Corey Lover from Area 8. The two got into a fight Corey was starving and smelt the bacon Jayden was munching on. Corey attacked him for it Corey jumped on him from behind simply just trying to steal the bacon. However when Jayden wouldn't let go Corey begun punching him and kicking him, suddenly Corey pulled out a knife and stabbed him to the head for his food.
The final death that night was at 10:54pm when a fight broke out between Chantelle Clementine from Area 8, Anna Jasmine from Area 1 and Ashleigh Marsh from Area 2. The girls were on patrol whilst the boys guarded the centre for tributes trying to get supplies. The girls spotted Chantelle calmly resting and knew they wanted her dead for killing Jennifer. Unfortunately for the girls Chantelle spotted them before the had the chance to have the upper hand in the fight by sneaking up on her. Chantelle quickly fired an arrow hitting Ashleigh in the arm. She screamed and fell to the floor. Anna didn't help her she dodged another arrow which was aimed for her, by that time Chantelle started to run for her life, her bow and arrow wasn't meant to for short distance. Anna seemed to be a little faster and caught up with Chantelle tripping her up from behind knocking her down. Before Anna had to chance to kill her, Chantelle turned over kicked her in the stomach knocking her back. Chantelle tried getting up on her feet but Anna kept her down by kicking her legs. She cut across Chantelle's right arm as she received a whack to the head with Chantelle's bow. Anna punched her on the floor and tried cutting Chantelle again she managed to cut her right hand as Chantelle blocked most of her attack. Anna kicked Chantelle in the ribs and she quickly stabbed her to the neck.
"Jake Wills spoke at the end of the night. Today five tributes have fallen making nineteen gone in total, however twenty nine still remain in the game. Congratulations to Area 11 who still have all four of there tributes left in the game.
Day three came with a fight early hours of the morning at 7am the Area 1 and 2 tributes were asleep by the centre. Although someone was meant to be keeping watch whoever was meant to be awake obviously fell asleep. From the distance Ollie Buffalo was watching over a sand hill. Ollie wanted bandages for his arm which was still not in a good condition after the bloodbath. He checked several times in different angles that all the tributes were asleep. Once he felt ready he pulled out his blade and ran for the centre. He quietly begun searching through the boxes picking up a few pieces of food in the process. Luckily for him he found a first aid kit inside a silver box. However he must have closed the box to loudly as Alfie Leaf who was laying near the pile awoke. Instantly Alfie called for the others. "GUYS!" He yelled which woke everyone up. Sadly for Alfie that was his last word he would ever say as Ollie killed him with one sharp cut to the neck. Alfie was getting up with his sword but never actually managed to stand since Ollie sliced his throat killing him instantly. The other tributes then grabbed there weapons and started to chase him but already were behind and in this heat they are under running doesn't seem like something they want to do. Ollie ended up getting away with what he stole.
Olivia Mann from Area 3 also died early that morning around half past nine she was bitten by a poisonous snake. She was bitten in her sleep and awoke from the pain but by that time the snake had bitten her again as she got up screaming she was bitten a third time and she hit the ground dead.
A sponsored gift was given out that morning to Austin Leo from Area 2, he was given a lovely mango. But Ashleigh was suffering from her arm, yesterday Bobby pulled out the arrow for her and wrapped her arm in a bandaged but Ashleigh's arm couldn't be used it was to painful. Though pleased that Chantelle was dead she wished she had been more carful sneaking up on her. Perhaps she will learn from this mistake.
Julie Light from Area 11 got herself stuck in a trap that late morning. A very cleaver tribute had covered a hand made net made from wire which must have been some kind of object in the centre. It was turned into a net and covered with sand next to a tree. As Julie walked onto the net to go and sit by the tree she didn't notice the wire lead up the tree stump. When her weight was on the wire down came a falling metal silver box which was covered by the palm tree leaves, which was connected to the wire. It whacked her on the head knocking her out. However the person that set the trap was not near and therefore didn't see her on the ground. For now Julie remained alive, but for how long?
However ten minutes later the canon did boom but it wasn't for Julie, it was for Billy Baker from Area 7. Billy was testing his luck taking on Bobby Lockwood from Area 1. Bobby was on guard at the centre whilst Austin and Anna patrolled and Ashleigh laid on the floor resting. Billy was watching Bobby and wanted him dead. But from the distance Billy was by the sand hills and he couldn't throw his throwing knives far enough to kill Bobby he had to come closer. Billy built up adrenaline inside him and charged out into the open Billy got half way to the centre when Bobby spotted him. Billy threw his first knife which Bobby easily dodged. Bobby ran behind the pile of good and grabbed Chantelle's bow and arrow which was brought back to the centre. Billy should have ran this point he would most likely have got away with attacking Bobby. With the adrenaline still inside him his mind told him to not run. Instead Billy ran into the centre and was killed by Bobby with a arrow to the heart the second he jumped out from the centre wall.
Meanwhile this was happening Oscar Ramsey from Area 8 was at the pond alone although he knew many tributes were probably near or watching him he was injured and washing his bloody leg in the cold water. Oscar got into a fight a couple of hours ago with Matthew Scott from Area 10. Oscar managed to get away from the fight by slicing across Matthews chest with his sword. Oscar quickly limped off without finishing Matthew off. Though it was quite likely that Matthew would have killed him if he had stayed, Matthew only had a cut chest he was still strong enough to kill Oscar. Since he starting limping away Matthew probably thought about getting himself healed first, he most likely sat hidden inbetween sand hills using his first aid kit he got from the centre. Oscar had watery eyes from the pain and then pulled his leg out of the water to then limp away. Just as he was getting up something moved in the corner of his eye. He quickly turned and swung his sword seeing no one was there. Next to him laid a rolls of bandages, he looked ahead by a near tree by the pond and saw a peeping eye from it. "Hello?" He called seeing no one come out from it. "It's ok I won't hurt you! I can't anyway I couldn't get over to you fast enough" Oscar called. Out from the tree stepped Kieran Adams from Area 12. The young thirteen year old looking sweet holding a backpack he took from the centre. "Thank you for the bandages" Oscar called as he put his sword on the floor and begun using them on his leg. Kieran stood looking shy wondering whether to run or not. "Why did you give them to me?". Kieran paused for a couple of seconds and spoke, "you needed them" Oscar smiled and replied "but isn't the point of the game to kill me not save me?". Kieran shrugged his shoulders and gave a small smile. "Well thank you, you want to team up we could look out for each other. I'm sure it would help repay my debt of the bandages" Oscar proposed. Kieran quickly nodded his head and smiled at Oscar coming closer trusting him more as they bonded that day.
The rest of the day was a snooze or so I thought nothing much happened no one else died. We just watched tributes survive by getting water and food. Watching some tributes suffer with sickness and listen to Area 1 and 2 talk about the other tributes.
That night Jake Wills told us some information about an event taking place tomorrow. "Ladies and gentlemen The Gamemaker has just let out some information about a survival test happening tomorrow. When the tributes wake up they will all see an egg rested beside them. Depending on what the tributes do with there egg will determine whether they live or die. If the tributes crack the egg open and eat it raw they will die from poisoning. If they crack it open and fry it in the sun to eat they will live. If the tributes leave the egg and try and save it for later or try to take care of it, well lets just say that in about 10 minutes time it will hatch" Jake Wills explained looking serious. "However twenty six remain, I do hope your favourites or favourite is still in the games. On your screens now will be the list of the remaining twenty six tributes alive and if they killed how many they have".
