There she stood, the most beautiful woman Finn had ever saw. Her light brown hair shimmered in the light filtering from the solid glass roof. Her green eyes had a shine about them that just drew you in, like emerald pools of perfection. The challengers side of the gym was sparse, however it appeared the gym leader sat in a lush jungle.
"So, you've come to test the cunning, strength and beauty of Team Rocket I'm guessing," the gym leader giggled in a voice that made Finn think of sunshine. "I'm Nina, and I try to be all three." Her eyes were on fire after those words.
"We do things a little different here," Nina said matter of factly. She flipped a switch and the whole gym floor retracted revealing a large pit. A moment later a loud whirring started that was followed by a constant blast of air. "We only use flying type pokemon here. You have to have mastery of every aspect of battle if you hope to challenge the elite four," she screamed over the massive fans. She reached to her belt, and sent three pokemon into gale. Like clockwork the trio pulled out their pokedex's.
"Chatot, the music note pokemon, It can learn and speak human words. If they gather, they all learn the new saying." Finn's pokedex spoke out.
"Pidgeotto, the bird pokemon, it flies over its wide territory in search of prey, downing it with its highly developed claws." Skye's pokedex read.
"Skiploom, the cottonweed pokemon, it spreads its petals to absorb sunlight. It also floats in the air to get closer to the sun," summarized Link's dex.
With that Finn, as much as he hated to battle this goddess of a woman sent out his Zubat, that was soon accompanied by Link's Hawlucha, and Skye's Noibat. However they were no match for the grace Nina presented, and Finn could see his Zubat was barely floating in the air. "We've got to try something new," Finn said nervously. "I've got it," Link said. Finn inwardly nodded, he knew his friend would have something up his sleeve. Finn could feel his eyes widen when he heard the plan and Skye giggled.
Finn commanded his Zubat to the rear of the field beside Skye's Noibat and with Link's pokemon at point. Finn and Skye's pokemon whipped up a gust attack to propel Link's Hawlucha. The Flying-Fighting type pokemon slammed into Nina's chatot. The pokemon was ruled unable to battle. After that the battle was all but won and Finn could see it plain as day. Before he knew it, he was clutching the groups newest badge, and they were all grinning like fools.
