Silence is a language
We have all learned to speak
As we had behind our faces
Where acceptance is what we seek
Silence is the sound
Of not one single heartbeat
But when I am down
That silence speaks to me
Silence is a feeling
Within the depths of our hearts
Unseen and unrecognized
As we're falling apart
Silence is the truth
Because the truth, we cannot speak
But silence is a secret
That, inside, we tend to keep
Silence is the heart
In the way that it beats
But it can never compare
To our stories and beliefs
Silence is hope
That has been lost in the wind
Because silence holds a price
We are unwilling to spend
Silence is beauty
In a way forever unknown
But silence is patience
Glowing, yet stone cold
Silence is a question
Which holds answers we seek
And it can only be heard
When we all fail to speak
Silence is special
In its own unique way
Though it is taken for granted
Forever, it will stay
