"You're a real mood killer you know that kid?" She stands up straight. " Anyway, I'm sure you can deduce that if you die in the game you die in real life. So that means don't let your HP get to zero or its game over, literally. Now on to the matter of your stats. You two know how most, if not all, games have stats on the monsters and characters right?" The boys nod in agreement. "Well you can access your stats and monster stats with your phones. As you passed through the portal your phones were repurposed to better suit the world and make doing certain things easier.  Give it a try I'm interested in knowing what your stats are. You two may be stronger then you look." As the boys get out their phones to check their stats Maera starts to scan the boys up and down. She looks at Butch and writes him off almost instantly because he simply isn't her type. He may have anger issues but other then that he's just her type. The more she looks t him the harder she bites her lip.

Jack is the first to find the stats button. As he taps the button a holographic stat sheet forms in front of him. His stats read as follows:

 Level: 27

HP: 190/190

Int: 8/10

 Str: 9/10

Spd: 9/10

Wis: 7/10

Cha: 10/10

Current attack damage: 37

Appearance: 

Eyes: Brown

Hair: Short, Black

Height: 5"9' (175.26cm)

Clothes: Black:hood, socks, shoes, shirt, underwear 

Special gear: Glasses 

Special ability:  Father's rage, when active all stats except Str and Spd gets a temp -3 debuff. Grants Str and Spd  a +10 buff. Str buff last 3 after ability is deactivated. Ability activation last 4 turns.

Maera's lusting is cut short as her mouth is agape in disbelief her eyes wide with shock.

"Y-You have to be kidding me. No one, and I mean no one has ever come into the game with those kind of stats. Sure people have gotten there through getting armor and an ass load of special items." she pauses and looks at Jack who is staring at his special ability. "What kind of child hood did you have?"

Jack closes his stat list as he takes a long inhale followed by a sharp exhale. His head lowers as he looks at the ground. In a somber tone he says, "One I'd rather forget."

"Who cares what kind of child hood you had Daniells, It was probably garbage. His stats aren't that impressive either. My stats will blow his out of the water just you wait." Butch taps the stats button, his stats dis played for all to see. They read as follows:

HP: 125/125

Int: 5/10

Str: 6/10

Spd:6/10

Wis: 4/10

Cha: 2/10

Current attack damage: 12

Appearance:

Eyes: Blue

Hair: Short, blond

Height: 5"7' (170.18cm)

Clothes: Black shirt white skull, blue jeans, white shoes

Special ability: Enraged father, when active all stats except Str and Spd gets a temp -4 debuff. Grants Str and Spd  a +3 buff. Str buff last 1 after ability is deactivated ability activation last 2 turns.

After seeing his stats Butch quickly tries to put his phone away so the others won't see. Sadly for him they were able to read them all before he could hide his shame. 

"Okay now those are the stats I expected to see. Those are actually below average but still expected. Now that we have your stats and levels we can get you your armor. There is a town about a mile up the road. Tell them that Maera sent you, they'll give you some good deals on all the equipment you might need or want. Any questions?

"Yes actually," Jack speaks up, "is there any way we can get a hold of you if we need help with anything? Also you didn't explain the combat system, how does that work?"

A sinister grin starts to form on Marea's mouth as she walks to Jack.  With a quick wave of her hand a folded up piece of paper appears in her hand and she hands it over to Jack. " When ever you need me call or text me and I'll poof over as soon as I can. You can call me for anything," she leans over and in a seductive tone whispers in his ear "and I mean anything." sending a shiver up Jack's spine. She leans back standing up straight again. "As for the combat it's real turn based. You each have three actions each turn but you can attack at the same time called shared turns, those do the most damage. Also you can only use your special ability once every three turns meaning it takes three turns to charge, just so you guys don't abuse it. And in case you're wondering you activate it by calling it out, like how they do in dragon ball. Also you can use your ability out side of battle, but you will only get the speed boost so you can get to places faster, but it only last for a few minutes. Any other questions?"

Butch raises his hand, a smile on his face as if he is trying to look cool.

Maera sees the look on his face and sighs "Yes Butch?"

"Can I get one of those papers with your number on it too? Ya know, just in case I need you too." He kisses the air twice and slowly nods as to let her know what he means.

Maera gives Butch a blank look. She then proceeds to fake gag, say no and disappears in a cloud of smoke. 

Jack laughs, "Dude you have no game what so ever. Me on the other hand have so much game I didn't even have to try." He waves the slip of paper Maera gave him in the air taunting Butch. 

"Ya whatever you say, I'll race you for the paper though."

"Alright I'll even let you use your ability."

"You're on."

The boys line up at the very edge of the town. Jack starts to count down from five. As he reaches two Butch activates his ability and the boys race off to the next town leaving the current one behind in a cloud of dust.
