After 19 years I was able to let go from the hands of my single father. My total savior at my mistakes. The hug when I was feeling blue. My father Bruce was the only thing I had in those 19 years of life. No mother for me! She left us with nothing. Just a god damn letter that was saying : You were a mistake Helen. I'm sorry. From then and on I only had Banner. Only a trustworthy filled with gamma radiation green monster named Hulk. Luckily I had the chance to call him dad. I don't now what I would have done without him. He never was an obstacle for me to follow my dreams. Of course I never followed any of them because I wanted to be there for him. I didn't want him to be alone. Until I was sure he had found his other half. And now! After so many years I was finally seeing him flashing a smile. It might not was his best one but at least he was showing his happiness. Few weeks ago my dad received a call from an secret agency called S.H.I.E.L.D
I had no idea what the hell was that. When he heard the name he dropped his phone saying quietly " God no!"
I immediately stood by his side to catch him because he was about to fall on the Kitchen floor.
"What's wrong dad" I asked him full of worry and curiosity.
"They found me!" His eyes has gone big and his heart started to race.
"Who found you?"
He took the phone from my hands and showed me a black guy with an eye patch looking like Captain Hook
A man in a suit made of metal? Or iron? I couldn't tell the difference because i focus on his face. Then it hit me!
"Oh my god. That's Tony Stark! But... I... mean... How?" I tripped over my words
"That's just the start Hel. Look at that one"
He screened me a man in a tight blue with white and red stripes with an star in the middle mid the suit. I almost fell when I recognized that man
"Holy shit! That's Captain America! Wait... wasn't he like.. frozen to death? How could he?"
"He woke up from the ice. S.H.I.E.L.D found him and unfroze him. After several days he came to his senses. And it was about time they found the big guy and asked for help."
"Help for what?"
"I have no idea. Do you want to find out?"
"I do but you know what they say! Curiosity killed the cat"
"Well I can't sleep if I don't know what the hell they want from me!"
While dad opened the door there were the big muscular men standing right in front of the door.
My eye peaked and I can say I was screaming to death inside me. I couldn't believe my eyes. Captain America, Tony Stark and almost Captain Hook were outside my house. I wanted to greet them but then my dad started talking.
"What do you want from me?"
"Well good morning to you too Dr. Banner" replied Iron Man taking off his mask.
"Dr. Banner we want your help for a mission" continued Captain America
"You need my help for what kind of mission?"
"A threat his coming on earth and we must take it down! And you are the only one who will be our saving suit" Eye patched man said.
"As you see me and cap are useless to Fury without you Banner" said sarcastically Stark
"And what can I do on behalf of your account? Built a super weapon?"
"Oh you don't need to build anything Doc. Everything we need is right here"
Fury pointed my father and ... ME?! What could I offer to S.H.I.E.L.D? I couldn't just stand there so I entered the chat.
"I'm sorry for interrupting your conversation but one little question. Why on earth would I ever be useful to a secret agency fighting the bad guys? I mean. I'm 19!"
"And because she's 19 she won't be joining this bullshit!" My dad answered for me
"Hey! I wasn't going to say I wouldn't join but.."
"Well then great! Pack your bags and come with us to the Tower"
"On the Stark tower? Like right now?"
"Yes! We are in a hurry. Come on honey colored hair chick!"
This conversation between me and Tony has begun to get uncomfortable.
"I'm not a chick you shit!"
"Guys! Language"
Captain Interrupted in a quick way
"Oh shut it you old man"
slapped him playfully Tony making him more angry.
"Do I need to come too?"
"Of course Doctor."
"But we'll need a few days to think about it. It's a big decision for us."
"You have till Monday"
"That's in two days"
"You better make it fast"
My dad closed angrily the door and took a deep breath. His hands had started to turn green
"It's ok dad. There are gone. You can relax now."
"How can I Helen? S.H.E.L.D. wants you too and I don't know why"
"Let's find out Boss! It might help us get away from the routine? Right?"
"It would. But I'm not completely agree with it yet. I..I need time to think clearly"
He went up the stares and locked his room. Even if he said he didn't knew whether he wanted to join or not I already knew the answer!
