I was nervous. That's all I could say because that's all I felt. Being engaged to taimoor was a dream come true. I can't believe it was happening for real. I was brought out from my my thoughts by a knock on the door. "Its time for uh to come." My mom said. And helped me down. The house or more precisely the sitting area was decorated with flowers and lights thanks to my brother. Taimoor didn't want a big event and even me so a small engagement ceremony was held in our house before he left for his studies.

I was made to sit beside taimoor on the sofa. My mom and dad sitting on the right side. And his mom and dad sitting on the left. My brother and sister were standing behind my parents. My sister was holding the ring I was supposed to make taimoor wear to make him my official fiance. Taimoors mom was having my ring which taimoor had to make me wear.
I could not see taimoor due to shyness. I am sure he must be looking like a model out of a magazine.
It was time to exchange ring. He held my hand and there my breath hitched I felt butterflies in my stomach. When I saw his face a small smirk was there on his face. And I knew that he knew the effect he had on me. His face was the most beautiful face I ever saw. Sharp jawline beautiful eyes handsome and hot were the words you could use for him. Astagfirulllah what am I thinking. I was brought back to reality with claps and I realised that I was staring at his face. I quickly lower my eyes but didn't miss the smirk on his face. Now it was my turn and with shivering hands I made him wear a ring and he gave me a big smile.
"Mubarak mubarak. Aab apki beti humari amanat hai." Said taimoor mom and made my mom eat meethai.
( Congratulations congratulations . Now your daughter is ours).
Then everyone started make me and taimoor eat sweets and hugged us.
