This is the story of Howell Mitch and Lola Townsend. Two young people who meet in the brisk breeze of Downtown Seattle as they both try to buy the same bouquet of pink roses from a sidewalk florist. They feel a requited fascination towards one another – a mutual understanding – and despite the fact that each is involved in other relationships, they end up going to a park together, and soon exchange goodbyes. However, both realise that they have left something at the park, and return only to find each other again.
'' WHAT HAPPENS IF WE HAPPEN, THOUGH? " she asks him, very wondrous about her idea.
'' NOTHING. " Howell replies soon after, amused.
Lola thinks of what to respond, "THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. "
''DOES IT HAVE TO? '' he asks, a small smile now plastered on his face.
