Chapter 2: Takodana

The Viper jumps out of hyperspace and into the orbit of the green and blue planet Takodana. Takodana has been somewhat of a haven for pirates and criminals in recent years and it's where Dino and his crew have gotten most of their work.

Dino fly's closer to the planets atmosphere and calls on the ships intercom. "Olli, Jolt, we'll be landing on Takodana soon, grab your stuff and get our friend out of his cell." 

The ship fly's past mountains and forests, Takodana is a beautiful world, Dino always loved coming here, it always made him feel like the galaxy was great despite the jobs he had to do. Dino fly's over Nymeve Lake and passed his location, Maz Kanata's Castle. Dino never had much of a relationship with Maz despite the many times he had come to her castle. Dino landed The Viper in an open area not far from the castle and announced that it was time for everyone to get off the ship.

The group and their prisoner walked to the castle and upon arriving, they were met with the usual parts of the interior. Music, food and an assortment of scum and villainy. In one of the booths, a green Nikto stood up and waved to Dino.

"Captain!" he yelled "Get over here you son of a hutt!"

"Scaggs!" Dino says as he runs over and greets the Nikto "Its been awhile hasn't it."

"It sure has, how did your mission go?" Scaggs asks.

"Well are friend here wasn't easy to find, ended up destroying a bar and two speeders to get him" Dino responds.  Tryyvnaan growls in response.

"I'm sure it was exciting, Tryyvnaan is one of the Dubrillion Syndicate's top and most dangerous lieutenants, I'm sure he'll be very useful." Scaggs reaches for his pocket and pulls out a holocard Here's your sum for the job, Twenty-five hundred Republic credits as promised. And on the behalf of the Kintan Kings as well as The Last Morgukai, thank you."

After the fall of the Hutt Cartel many crime syndicates rose to power. And as these syndicates rose, conflict came with it. Two syndicates became rivals, the Kintan Kings and the Dubrillion Syndicate. The Kintan Kings, lead by the so called "Last Morgukai" rose to prominence when Nikto servants overthrew their Hutt lords. Inspired by a gang of the same name during the Old Republic, The Last Morgukai rallied Nikto across the galaxy to form his guild. Morgukai  is Nikto for "Jedi Killer", but if you ask him how many Jedi he's killed he wont give you a number. While only Nikto can serve in the upper ranks of the guild, other species, including humans are permitted to join. Not much is known about the Dubrillion Syndicate other than it operates on the planet Dubrillion. There are rumors that the leader has connections with the King of Dubrillion and even that he holds more power, but nothing is confirmed.  No one knows why the two guilds hate each other either. Perhaps it was a game of sabacc, maybe someone insulted the others mother, or maybe they're just petty. Either way, the Viper crew has been able to make a fortune from by working for the Kintan Kings.

Dino took the chip from Scaggs and put it in his pocket. As Scaggs walks away with the wookie, he turns around and whispers into Dino's ear.

"Dino, I forgot to mention, that one over there in the corner, has some work for you, he's been waiting here all day apparently and it seems important." 

Dino nods and Scaggs walks away with the wookie and two Nikto bodyguards. Dino goes to tell his crew, who have been waiting, to sit down and grab a drink while he goes to talk to the client.

The Client was a male Blarina with a brown cloak. Dino approched him without attracting attention and sat down in front of him.

"Ah, Captain Dino, I see your reputation proceeds you, my name is Naloonan though you can call me Naloo, you likely guessed I have a job for you." He says.

Dino leans back, "What is it, do you want someone dead, or are you looking for me to move cargo for you?"

"Neither actually" Naloo says "I need you to retrieve an artifact for me."

"An artifact, my crew aren't archaeologists" Dino responds "And why do you need my crew anyway, I'm sure another crew, like the Razor crew for example could do this job too."

Naloo stands up straight "My buyer specifically requested your crew for this operation, they gave me limited details however. But I can assure you the reward can peak your interest."

"I'm listening" Dino says as he leans in.

"My buyer is willing to give you the coordinates to an abandoned vessel with valuable items inside. Again, Details are limited so I do not know when they will give you the coordinates but they told me you would get them when the time is right." Naloo explains.

"I'll take your offer but I need details." Dino says

"The relic is Jedi Holocron, it's located on the south side of this world in stone ruins. Though apparently something guards it, what it is I do not know. The details and coordinates are on this datapad" Naloo says.

Dino nods and shakes Naloo's hand "I'll get this for you, tell your buyer they have my regards." Dino says as he sits up and walks away from the table and towards his friends."

Olli, Ralo and Jolt sit in a booth and Jolt sits right up on Ralo, but as Dino approaches she quickly sits normally as if nothing happened.

"So what is it captain?" Ralo asks.

"We have a new job, we need to get relic on the south side of this world, and apparently the payment is great" Dino responds.

"Apparently?" Jolt inquires.

"Just trust me on this, get up we have work to do." Dino replied.

The four of them leave the castle and make their way towards The Viper. Dino enters the cockpit and the ship lifts off and fly's to the south side of Takodana, where their relic and the unknown reside.
