sean layed on the floor in his garage for the entirety of the next couple days
kaycee couldn't stay over forever and he guessed she in trouble of some sort.
she didn't specify, she just said she couldn't come over for a couple of days
they had finished their sessions with tessandra, it was unfortunate but she told them that they'd have to try this project again later, they had too much going on right now.
she was right of course, but that didn't make it sting any less
"sean, come eat." his mother called
he pulled himself off the ground and turn to look in the mirror
"oh fuck." he ruffled his hair
he looked an absolute hot mess
he wasn't sure the last time he touched his hair, it was over grown and all over the place, he hadn't showered in a few days he knew that much, he hadn't slept much either
sean sat down at the dinner table to sarah who was looking at him weirdly
he furrowed his eyebrows "what?"
"when was the last time you left the garage?"
he thought about it and the answer was to eat breakfast, and saying that aloud was not something he wanted to do "why?" he countered
"because you look like you've been ran over by a garabge truck." she snorted
"well that's just rude." he said crossing his arms
"unfortunately she's right." he father said sitting down
"at least shower, please?"
"right now?"
his dad gave a shrug that said 'maybe'
sean chuckled "fine i'll go shower."
the other two at the table cheered at this while sean made his way up to his room for the first time in a while
it was a bit messier than sean expected
he hadn't been in there since kaycee left the that morning
it wasn't that he couldn't take being in there anymore or anything
it was that he thought better when he was in his work space, he just so happened to be there for three days in the same clothes with no showers and a meal here and there
he continued to laughed to himself as he picked out new clothes and grabbed a towel
he took his time in the shower of course
he tried thinking of the best way for him and kaycee to proceed in their relationship
it would be different
he figured they could handle it
it just changes so much

she was getting too old for that
in fact her eightieth birthday was merely weeks away
she just figured i'd be best to confine herself to her room for a little while
the only reason she was even doing so was because of the fact that she found herself having those 'outbursts' a lot more recently and ninety-seven percent of the time they weren't about sean.
