CHAPTER 22

(Ching's POV)

Me and Zek turned to the left seeing a kitchen with foods all around the counters, I gasped

'I'm hungry....'

"Come on, let's look for your bag so we can go outta here before somebody sees us" I said but then Zek suddenly grabbed me in the arms losing my balance, but then he held my other arm so I won't fall

"Be careful," he sighed, "I don't want myself stumble on the ground just because of your stupidness" I coughed when he said that

"Well it isn't my fault because you just grabbed me instantly without me knowing" I turned to him and raised my eyebrow

"So you want to be hurt by that damn trap just 1 inch away from your foot?"

I looked at him confused and looked on the ground

A trap for rats?

"Its just a trap" I answered and kicked it away from me, I heard him sigh while I looked around to look for his bag

"So, where is it?" I asked walking around the kitchen, he didn't answered

"Hey, Zek--"

What the...

"Zek!!!" I whispered loudly but he didn't showed up, I sighed continued the search

Maybe he'll be back in a few seco--

"Hey"

"AHHH--" I covered my mouth to prevent myself from screaming eternally, "Zek! Where have you been!?" I whispered and walked to him then I noticed he's now holding his bag

"Where you found that?"

"Found what?" He asked me, I blinked

"Stop joking Zek-- agh forget it, now let's go back before someone sees us" I whispered and grabbed his arm and I ran where our hiding spot is

We hid and looked around, when no one showed up I sighed and signed to Zek that I was hungry, he nodded and gave me bread and water

"So... where hwave you bveen?" I asked while my mouth was full

"Nowhere.." he answered, I paused for a second and turned to him as I raise my right eyebrow

"Nowhere? Are you serious" I said irritated and confused, "then where did you found your bag?" I asked with an angry tone and placed my bread on my lap as I held my waist with my two hands, he sighed

Seriously? Is that his answer?

"Talk!"

"I think it'll be a secret for quite a while" he answered and gazed somewhere else, I grunted but I decided to shut up and eat

I don't understand Zek now, he's been acting so strange lately

Maybe he was just fooling me and later on he'll bring me inside my cage again and torture me....

"You alright, Ching?" I startled and turned to him again, "Ahm, what is it Zek?"

"I was asking if you're ok, because you've been gripping on that poor bread tightly" I gazed at the bread I was holding seeing it crumbled a bit, I soften my grip and smiled awkwardly

"Eh, it was... nothing," I answered as I avoid my contact with him, "I'm just scared and worried about my friends, what if that evil guy's torturing them again? What if..... I'll be next?"

I glared at him in the corner of my eye, I heard him sigh again and he looked at me

"Possibly..."
