Khakhua

10 workers who became friends from going to New Castle University have gotten together after finding something interesting. All ten of them majored in marine biology and now with the career and studies of this new species in the pacific ocean, they have decided to take a trip. "I don't see any bones in it" Said Lucas. " Our cameras that we set in Australia last summer need to be replaced" Said Skyler. "Skyler it looks like it is made of smooth nucleus and elastic fibers" Said James. They all thought. "Alright, lets go to New Guinea and see, that is where it is closest to now" Said Zechariah. "People do not really go to New Guinea" Said Megan. "Well, easier for us, less crowded" Said Nick. "Well, then lets go to New Guinea '' Said Zola. "How much is the flight"? Daniel asked. "I'll work on that, you guys keep looking at the images and get ready to pack up" Said Zechariah. "I will go and pack because I'm unaware if our cameras are still accurate or not so" Said Jay. "Yeah I'll go with you" Said Megan. "Fine I'll stay and look over it" Said James. "I might as well stay too" Said Emily. "We all get together around what, 11:30 tomorrow morning" Daniel asked. "Fine with me"Said Skyler. They all walked out except for Zechariah, James and Emily. "What will we call this thing?"Emily asked. "Well if it has no bones then it will be a little harder" Zechariah said. "Let me see it again" Emily said. They all looked at the computer that connected to the camera. "Hmmm" James said putting his hand on his chin. "It looks like a large snail" Said Emily. "You're right but outside of the shell" Said Zechariah. "So something snailfish" James said. They all looked at each other and kept thinking. "Come on, come on this is good" Zechariah said. "Ugh" Said Emily. "I got it"Said James. "What" Zechariah asked. "The bulbous snailfish" James said. "What no that wouldn't make any sense" Emily said. "How about the Atacama snailfish?" She said. "Oh yeah, hell yeah I like it" Zechariah said. "Call Jay and Megan"James said. They called them. "Wow that's a really good name, who came up with it"? Megan asked. "I did"James said over the speakerphone. "Bitch please it was me" Emily said. "Zechariah who was it?" Jay asked.James looked at Zechariah. "It was Emily" He responded. "Loser" James said. They called everyone else then met up again the next day.
"I'm really feeling the name"Nick said. "Why thank you" Emily said. "Oh whatever, I came up with snailfish" James said. "Dumbass, that part was obvious" Zechariah said. "Whatever man" he responded. "Here are your drinks" The waitress said. "Thank you" Said Lucas. "What time is our flight tomorrow"? Daniel asked. "Be ready by eight a.m" Skyler said. "Flight is at ten" Zechariah said. "Yeah and the flight is also about thirty hours" said Jay. "Oh it's gonna be a long flight" said Megan. "What do you mean"? Zola asked. "I can't stand long flights, but I guess we can make this work" Megan responded. "Well good" Said James.

The next day.
They arrived at the airport. They boarded. "Well, thirty hours to go" Nick said. "Yeah, thirty hours to go" Skyler said. "It's gonna be worth it guys" Daniel said. "Danny go away, I want to sleep" said Megan. "Uh, okay" he responded.
They finally arrived in New Guinea.
"I forgot to ask, uh why was it basically just us on the plane"? Asked Nick. "Well people are not really fond of this place, I don't know why" Zechariah said. "I wonder why" Emily said. "So it wasn't like a real flight" asked Jay. " Well then I guess you could call it private" James said. "Look, not many people live here, barely anything, lets just head over to the oceanside and get our work done." Lucas said. "So sleeping arrangements"? asked Zola "Camping" Zechariah said. "What" Megan said. "Guys there's like nothing here, what do you expect?" James said. "We're fine" Nick said. They went along the beach side and set up their tools and camp. "It is about four, we should really get to work" Lucas said. "Oh by the way, if we have any problems Australia is right there if we were to need help"said Zechariah. "We should be fine, I guess" Said Skyler. "I just don't like the thought of the animals and the bugs" Megan said. "Alright lets get to work" Jay said.They looked around and found it on camera again. They took pictures to scan. Lucas and Zola walked down the beach, not far but just to look. "Wow, beautiful sunset" Zola said. "You ever hear the saying, why are the most beautiful places the most dangerous"? Lucas said. "Yeah why" Zola responded. "This place is beautiful and I don't see a problem with it" Lucas said. "Hey look, is that a guy down there"? Zola asked and pointed. "Oh wow it is"Lucas said. "Wearing some weird clothes"Zola said. "Should we go and talk to him"? She continued. "Whoah, absolutely not"Lucas said. "Why"? "We don't know anything about this place and they don't seem to have contact with the outside world" Lucas told her. "Oh yeah, I see what you mean" Zola said. "Well, we should go back"Said Lucas. "Or, we could go say hi" Zola said excitedly. "Zola, seriously stop" Lucas said. Zola ran about fifteen to twenty feet. "Hey, hello i'm zola, what's your name" she asked. The man was curious but confused. Lucas waited. Zola went to shake his hand. "Zola, no stop"! Lucas yelled. The man pushed her down and picked up a spear. "Wait no, no stop" Zola screamed. Lucas ran to her. The man stabbed Zola in the chest, then the neck. "Zola"! Lucas screamed. The man ripped out Zolas throat and ate it, then looked up and grinned at Lucas. "Holy shit" Lucas whispered. Three more walked out. One ran to Zolas body and started eating her. The other two walked slowly next to the one who killed Zola now walking towards Lucas. They threw their spears. One grazed Lucas' face and the other grazed his leg. "Fuck" Lucas yelled. He ran to the rest of the group. "Guys, lets go, we need to get the fuck off this island" Lucas yelled running up to them. "Holy shit, are you okay?" Skyler asked. " No I'm not fucking okay, cannibals live on this island and they fucking just ate her, stabbed her with a fucking spear then ate her throat" He yelled. "Oh shit" Daniel said. "Where are they now?" Zechariah asked. "They were behind me, but I can tell you Zechariah, that's a whole fucking tribe, there's more all over this fucking place, fuck the fish lets go" Lucas said in pain. "Alright pack up" Nick said. "Fuck packing up, get what we actually need and get to Australia, we should not be here, Zola is dead, we need to go" Lucas yelled. They hurried. Got the computer to make sure they could get in contact with Australia. "What part of the island do we have to be at?"James asked. "Well this place is shaped weird, since we are in the middle of the southernmost now, since we ran from the beach" Said Zechariah. "So" Megan said. " This means we have to go to the southwest part of the island, the very bottom of the island" Daniel said. "Danny don't fuck with me" Jay said. "He's not, we basically have to go to the other side of the island, then go to the very southern part where it ends which is closest to Australia" Said Nick. "Lets just go and stop complaining, I want to live" Skyler said. They ran, they walked then ran again. They saw a trail. "Oh hell no" Said Megan. "We're going the right direction, we have to cut through, it's a small trail" Zechariah said. "Alright hurry" Lucas said. They were as quiet as they could be. Emily looked up and saw a human skull hanging on a tree. Emily screamed. "Shut the fuck up" Nick said. He ran to her and covered her mouth. They looked around and realized how many skulls there were. "Oh shit" Daniel said. "We have to move real fucking fast" Lucas said. " Calm down, we can do this" James said. "Oh yeah, I'll calm down when I get over seeing Zola getting eaten by other humans, and being surrounded by other human skulls, yeah I can definitely calm down, lets fucking go, they heard Emily" Lucas said. They ran and came face to face with easily fifteen of the tribe members. "You got to be fucking kidding me" Nick said. One of them yelled "Khakhua"! The rest yelled it and more started to walk out. "Run now" Megan said. They ran. They heard someone yell "Fuck" "Wait is that Nick"? Jay yelled. "Nick"! They all yelled. "Get the fuck out of here" he yelled. A spear impaled his thigh. The spear was around seven feet long and fairly wide. The ends looked to be as sharp as a tiger's teeth. "We have to go back" Skyler said. "Too late"James said. "Fuck you, ahhhh" Nick screamed. Nick was fighting back while on the ground. They held him down and started to eat him. The rest ran off. The rest of Nick's body was tied to a branch, then taken back to their village where the rest of him would be cooked over a fire. " Fuck this is not good" Jay said. "How much longer?" James asked. "Looks like another ten miles" Daniel said. "Danny are you sure?" Emily asked. "Yes" He responded. They ran on again. They saw the signs and skulls everywhere. "I need a break" Skyler said, wheezing. "Uh, what?" Said Zechariah. "Yeah, I said it" She responded. "Fine, two minutes"Lucas said. "Lucas, are your legs feeling any better from earlier" Jay asked. "Haven't really thought about it, I think I'm okay" Lucas responded. They took some drinks from their bag and got ready to start again. "Okay, we really need to get out of here" James said. They walked on. "We're less than ten miles now" Zechariah said. They heard a tree branch break. Then another. "Oh fuck" Megan said. "Where are they"? Jay asked. They moved their heads back and forth, side to side. "They wear paint or something, it's camouflage!" Daniel yelled. The tribe members jumped out at them. "Go, go, go this way" Lucas yelled. The tribes people had big spears and sharp rocks in their hands. They were only about fifteen feet behind them. Zechariah heard something from above. "They're in the trees!" He yelled. As they were running they looked up and saw what looked to be smaller tribes members, kids probably around the age of ten to twelve. Two jumped down. One jumped on Skyler. "Get the fuck off me!" She yelled. She elbowed the kid in the face. The kids nose bled. "Khakhua" The kid yelled. The other kid jumped on Jay and bit at her throat and poked her eye. "Help!" Jay screamed. A teen looking tribe member jumped down from the tree. Grabbed Jay and knocked her over. He punched her hard in the face. "Stop it no!" She screamed. James looked back. He saw Jays eyes. Fear. The teen looked at James then kicked Jay in the head, bent over and bit at her throat. "No!" James yelled. James tried to run back but Emily and Lucas grabbed him back. They pulled him back and they started to run again. A few yelled. They looked back and saw them holding Jays intestines. "Go, go, go" Daniel said. "How far are we?" Emily asked. Zechariah looked back. "Six miles" He responded. "Send out the signal now" Megan said. Lucas set out the signal.
"We will use the flare when we get there" Daniel said. "I'm sick of this place." Skyler said. The remaining seven walked on with no others in sight. It was just trees. "Guys my limp is starting to hurt" Lucas said. "We know, but once we are picked up they'll help you out". James said. They kept walking. Nothing to see but trees. A few animals, but just green. "What the hell" Megan said. "What" Emily replied. "They like, disappeared" She said. "Don't complain" James said. They looked at each other. "Something isn't right, they wouldn't just give up" Zechariah said. "Lets just keep walking" Lucas said. "Lucas watch out!" Emily yelled. Lucas turned his head. A tribesman spit a dart at Lucas' neck. Lucas fell over and could not breathe. It seemed as if it were an asthma attack. Daniel charged at the man and knocked him over, picked up a rock and smashed his head. Another tribesmen came up to Daniel and punched Daniel in the side of the head. He fell unconscious. The tribesmen picked up a rock to smash Daniels face but Megan jumped on him, right on his shoulders. Skyler came up and smacked him hard with a branch. He fell dead with his head bleeding. Megan stood up. Skyler woke up Daniel and Megan ran to Zechariah and James who crouched around Lucas. "What do we do?" Zechariah asked. "My sister has asthma, this seems to be similar, we have to sit him upright, don't let him move around, I am going to sit behind him, lay his back against my chest so he will get the feel of how I breathe. He will take long deep breaths, this will slow it down and prevent hyperventilation"Emily said. Emily held him up. They moved Lucas to her chest. "Come on Lucas, get the feeling of my breathing, long deep breaths, come on baby" She cried. "Here Emily let me do it" James said. "Hurry, fuck hurry, he's going white" Megan said. James took him. "Come on, feel my chest, breathe buddy, you got this just stay calm" James whispered. Lucas' head slowly dropped to the side of his shoulder. "Fuck" Zechariah said. Daniel and Megan pulled Lucas off James. "His body?" Skyler asked. They looked at each other. "Look, this is terrible but we have to leave it." Daniel said. "He's right" Megan said. "Are you serious?" Emily asked. They looked at Emily. " Emily, I know this is upsetting and a different death than the rest but, we can't carry his fucking body, he'll slow us down, we can't risk more lives" Zechariah said. Emily turned and started to walk. They all followed. The computer beeped. "Oh shit" Daniel said. "What?" Skyler asked. "The Australian coast guys got it, they know we need help and are on their way" Daniel laughed. "Let's get the fuck out of here" James said. "How far?" Megan asked. "Three miles" Zechariah responded. They started to run then they slowed down. They are so close to escaping but, came to a major problem to where it felt like all was over, might as well give up now. They walked right into the little town of the tribes people. Maybe only twelve to fifteen houses. They were eight to nine feet tall. Made of wood, leaves and rock. The tribes people stopped and stared at the remaining six. "Oh fuck" Megan said quietly. A tribes member yelled. Then they all yelled. "Khakhua!". "This place isn't too big, we can get out" Daniel said. "Daniel, we're surrounded" Skyler said. They looked around. "Well, let's fight and get the hell out of here" Zechariah said. The tribespeople stared. Some licked their lips. James picked up a fairly sized rock. The tribespeople screamed and ran at the remaining six. "Here we go" Megan said. Daniel was jumped on then stabbed in the left shoulder with a spear. "Fuck you!" He yelled. He pulled it out, pushed the man off him and stabbed him in the neck. " Yeah, what do you think about that you crazy motherfucker?" he said. A woman jumped on Emily and bit her shoulder and scratched her back. "You bitch" Emily yelled. She turned, punched her in the face then in the throat. The woman fell over. Zechariah found a broken spear and stabbed three tribes people. He turned to a ten year old looking boy who seemed innocent. He stared at Zechariah. "Yeah nah, not playin' dumbass games" He stabbed the boy in the chest. Someone came up behind Zechariah and hit him in the back with something hard. Zechariah fell over and turned to look. The man seemed to have a rock, black and sharp spear, only about two feet. Not wood, this was rock. Zechariah felt major pain in his back. The man went to swing again. James ran and tackled him. James stood up and helped Zechariah up. "Are you okay man I saw..." James trailed off. The man swung the rock spear at James head. James fell over hard. Zechariah punched the man in the nose then kicked his leg backwards breaking his leg. Zechariah picked up the rock spear and smashed his head. Zechariah ran to James. "James" He said. No response. Zechariah moved James' head. A hole. His skull was broken. His neck was broken as well. James was gone. Skyler threw a large piece of wood at a few people. They fell over. "Let's get the fuck out of here now" She said. A spear was thrown right through Skylers chest, exiting through her back. A teenager looking tribesman was on top of the hut and had thrown it from up top. The tribespeople ran over to her and started to eat her. They took her over to the fire.The remaining four got out. They were only a mile away. "Almost time for the flares" Daniel said. "They are coming for us right?" Megan asked. "Yeah they know we're here" Zechariah said. They started to run again. "At this rate we should be at the shore in ten minutes". Emily said. They heard a whistle sound.It wasn't coming from the southern part to where they were heading. It was from the side. To the right. They turned around. "We can't be looking, we have to go" Megan said. "Let's go" Emily said. They ran then they heard it again with rustling. A dart flew into Megan's spine. Megan fell over. They pulled the dart out of her. "Come on, get up" Zechariah said. "I... I can't move. " She said frightened. "Oh shit" Emily said. "She's paralyzed, whatever was on that dart must have done something to her nervous system and how it hit her spine" Zechariah said holding his head. Two cannibals ran out. Daniel tackled one and smashed his head. The one jumped on Emily and clawed at her chest then the side of her neck. Zechariah ran over and broke the man's neck. "Yeah, I ain't playin around with ya'll no more" He said. Then spit in the mans face. "What do we do about Megan?" Daniel asked. "We're literally just about there, we can carry her" Emily said. " No, no, listen" Megan said, coughing. She was going white. "Leave me, seriously just go, they'll stop for me and you guys get out, I'm dying" She continued. "Megan" Daniel said. "Danny, go" She said. "Daniel, let's go" Zechariah said. Emily bent down and hugged Megan. "I'm so sorry" Emily said. "Go now" Megan said. They heard rustling. They left. Megan lay there. Not able to move a muscle. Laying against a tree. "Yeah, just come and get me assholes!" She screamed. They walked up to her. "Do it already fucker"She said. They pulled Megan by the legs and clawed at her. They started to eat her. "Ahhhh!" She screamed. Daniel, Zechariah and Emily looked back from a distance. They could hear Megan's echo. "The beach is up ahead lets go" Zechariah said. Daniel started the flare. "Lets get off this fucking island already"Emily said. They ran to the beach. Finally at the destination they wanted to leave. Time to get off the island New Guinea and to Australia. Daniel lit another flare. They saw the boat in the distance. "Yes, here they come" Zechariah laughed. Emily cried of joy. "Finally"Daniel said. As they were pulling up a tribesman jumped out of the trees onto Emily. "Emily!" Daniel yelled. Zechariah turned and ran to Emily and Daniel. The man punched Emily in the face. Daniel ran and tackled him off of her. They both stood up and stared at each other. The mans spear was to left of him and a big rock was to the right of Daniel. They looked at each other. They ran for their weapons. Daniel threw the rock and the man threw the spear. The man was hit in the head. He fell dead. Daniel turned to Emily and Zechariah. The spear penetrated under his ribs and you could see the other end out of his back. "Danny no!" Emily screamed. The Australian guards pulled up with guns and took Zechariah and Emily to the boat. Emily resisted to get to Daniel. Two tribespeople ran out. They shot one and the other dragged Daniels body back into the trees. "No!" Emily screamed. Zechariah and Emily sat down and he hugged her. "I'm Jason, and this is Chris, we're going to get you home" Jason said. "Thank you so much" Emily cried. "No problem mate" Chris said. "They kept saying Khakhua, what does that mean?" Zechariah asked. Chris looked at Zechariah. "It means witch man, kill any person who threatens a person of the tribe by eating them" Chris explained. Jason looked up. "Fuckin crazy aint it" Jason said. Zechariah and Emily stared. They then finally made it to Australia for safety.
