The two teens walked back to the rest of their friends that were at the lunch table. "Why did you even tell Ray? You aren't dating him. And who's our so called "company'?" Nick babbled on and Ashley started to get a headache.
"I told him because I like him. I also trust him with my life. Mostly I told him so I had someone besides you to talk about it with, also the fact that he can choose to be with me. Even if I am what I am. And dickhead, if I knew who the hell it was I wouldn't have attacked you." Ashley said in all seriousness trying to answer all of the questions.
"Fine, you have a point. But, it has to be someone new. Right?" He asked as a thousand thoughts went through his mind. Neither of them had any clue who this myserious person or group was.
"Nick, I think you should worry about how you're going to tell Jasmine. That's more important right now. I'll figure out who our company is." Ashley suggested and Nick put his hands on his hips.
"What? I'm sure Broedanis going to help you! So why can't I?" He asked defending himself.
"Nick, I'm older. And that means stronger. When you turn 200 come talk to me." She laughed and sat next to Ray. "Umm, who are you two?"
"I'm Dylan. This is my brother Ryan. We just moved here about two weeks ago." Dylan explained and shook Ashley's hand.
"Nice to meet you both. I'm Ashley, this is Nick. Where did you guys move from?" She questioned.
"Well, we came from Chicago. But we move around a lot." Ryan explained while staring at Ashley, as if he recognized her.
"Cool, but classes are starting in like a few minutes. So, got to go." Ashley said politely and stood up. She started to walk away and Nick caught up to her.
"He was looking at you, Ashley." Nick joked and nudged her side.
"It's them." Ashley said in a demanding tone. She instantly knew that they were the ones who killed those 5 people.
"What's them?" Nick asked like an idiot.
"We need to go." She pulled his arm rather hard causing him to yelp. They continued towards the door.
"Why?"
"Let's go. Now Nick." Ashley demanded and Nick continued with her.
They walked outside and Nick stopped. "Oh, that's what you meant."
"No shit Sherlock. You're an idiot, you know that right?" She said and Nick gave her a pouty look.
"You aren't exactly Einstein either." He defended with his hand on his hips. His left foot was turned slightly and he gave some attitude. Ashley giggled at the sight.
"No, but I met him. Because I'm cooler than you."
"Why are we disscusing this right at this moment in time?" he questioned.
"Good point. We have to get home." Ashley said and ran to her car.
----------------------------------
"So what do you know about Ashley?" Dylan asked his twin brother Ryan.
"She definitely isn't Maddison. She's human. So is the lost puppy Nick. I just got this weird feeling about Broedan and Lucas. Kyle thinks he knows everything about our kind. When he couldn't see past us. Paul seems like an asshole. Jasmine doesn't believe. And I have that same weird feeling about Chandler. And you'll never guess what John is--" Ryan explained and Dylan cut him off.
"I asked about the girl. Not her stupid friends. I love that you can know everything about a person just from looking at them, but I don't give two shits about humans. They're all going to die anyways." Dylan yelled.
"I was thinking that maybe we could stay?" Ryan questioned and shrugged.
"Why? Because you think that Ashley will let you change her and you will live happily ever after for eternity. Give it up bro, love is for losers. You're better off trying with Broedan, the shape-shifter." Dylan laughed and Ryan looked shocked.
"How didn't I see it. I studied all of them." Ryan gave a confused look.
"Maybe because you're an idiot. Another reason why Ashley will never give you a chance." Dylan laughed.
"Listen Dylan, just because you got your heart broken by that slut doesn't mean you have to be cruel. It wasn't real. And all you do is blame that on me. You're just jealous because Maddison and I had something!" Ryan defended.
"Had something? Ha-Ha. If that's what you want to call it. You cheated on her." Dylan finished the conversation and walked away. Just as Kayla skipped up.
"Hey Ryan! Where were you before? You kinda just like disappeared." Kayla smiled.
"Sorry to say this but I'm disappearing again." He said and her smile faded.
"Well, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to get lunch sometime." She shrugged.
"Kayla, you seem like a nice girl. But, I'm already interested in someone else." I explained.
"Ashley?" She questioned and I turned to look up at her. "No offense, but you don't really have a chance. She's kind of seeing someone. And she's kind of weird. Her and Nick are just weird characters."
"I don't think you have the right to judge her. And even if I don't have a chance with her I would still go one hundred years before I tried to get you." Ryan snapped and turned to walk away.
"Dick." She whispered and he spun around on his heels pinning her up against the wall. His hand around her neck. Her feet were a good foot off the ground.
"You need to be careful about what you say to me. Got it?" Ryan questioned to the girl gasping for breath behind his hand. She struggled with a nod and he dropped her. Causing her knees to buckle under her and she fell. "Don't push me."
-----------------------
"Nick, I know them. I don't think they remember me. But, my brother and those two. They aren't what people call friends. But, I know why they're here." Ashley tried to explain but Nick was having a hard time following.
"Why are they here then?" He questioned.
"The same reason we're here. For the crystal."
A/N:
Short chapter. I know. But, it's only short because I already have this pre-written. In a notebook. The next few chapters are longer.
