Stonehearts 9: Sapphire

Prologue

Three months ago. . .

"You know what that scum did to me? He cheated on me! Fucking cheated on me with a plastic woman I swear would melt when she's placed under the sun." I was slurring, puking my words out, and making my voice louder just so the banging music won't drown it.

The woman in front of me nodded her head, but I'm sure she didn't understand a word I just spat, "Girl, we need to again drink to that!"

Saka niya tinawag ang bartender at nanghingi pa ng tig-lima naming shot ng Tequila. At this point, alam kong hindi ko na kaya pang dagdagan ang alak sa sistema ko. My point of view is starting to skew for Pete's sake.

She got five of the shot glasses and slid it in front of me, "Bottoms up, Fire!" she yelled.

She knew my name and I didn't even try to remember hers. I'm such a bad drunk friend.

"Hindi ko na kayang uminom. Uuwi pa ko." I mean, I didn't bring my car but it would be too bothersome for a cab driver to assist a dead drunk passenger into her home.

"Okay lang! I have a DD." Sagot niya sabay turo sa isa pang babae na nakaupo sa 'di kalayuan at chill na umiinom ng. . . iced tea? Is she drinking iced tea in a club?

"Iced tea ba 'yon?" I blurt out.

She laughed and nodded her head, "Yes. Hindi siya pwedeng uminom para buhay pa kaming makakauwi."

"Sino ba 'yon?"

"My girlfriend." She answered right away with a wink.

Oh, that's right. It's Aubrey and Lucy! The lesbian couple I approached when I was a getting tipsy and I all but word vomited my crappy love story to them. Now, I remember!

Feeling a sense of security. I grabbed one of the glass and raised it, "We drink the same time?" tanong ko.

She smiled, all teeth and took one of her own shot. We clinked glasses and drank the alcohol in one go, leaving no remnants, no drop.

Getting into another level of drunkenness. I challenged Aubrey to race finishing the other four left. I can't remember who won. But I do know that we ordered two more bottles of Cuervo and one more Absolut before Lucy intervened.

We were both giggling like crazy when we got dragged out of the club. I know Lucy was complaining but can't seem to understand anything because she's talking funny or am I hearing funny? Hindi ko na alam.

She escorted us both to her car or their car or whatever and went on our way to God knows where.

"Alam mo ba kung saan ako nakatira?" I asked.

She looked at me via the rearview and shook her head, "Hindi ko masyado maintindihan pero feeling ko tinatanong mo kung alam ko kung saan ka nakatira. The answer is yes, I asked for your address before you both went drunken master on me."

Kinunot ko ang noo ko, "Bakit hindi mo ko maintindihan? Maayos naman pagsalita ko, ah."

Natawa lang siya at muling umiling. "Matulog ka na muna, Fire. Baka sumuka ka pa diyan."

"'Di naman ako nasusuka." Laban ko bago ko ipinikit ang mata ko.

Kulang pa ang tulog ko ng nakaramdam ako ng mahinang yugyog. Muli kong inimulat ang mata ko at nakita na nakasandal na ako kay Aubrey na siya ring tulog na nakasandal sa pinto ng sasakyan.

"Gising na. Hatid na kita sa unit mo." Tawag ni Lucy sabay hatak sa kamay ko.

Wala ako sa sariling sumunod sa kanya. Mahigpit akong nakakapit dahil tila'y umiikot ang lahat sa paningin ko, pati ang sahig.

Hindi pa ako tuluyang nakakababa ng hinawakan ni Aubrey ang laylayan ng bistida ko, "Fire, 'wag kang papatalo sa impaktitang umagaw sa jowa mo. Laban ka, girl!"

Natawa ako saka humampas sa balikat ni Lucy, "I like your girlfriend. She gives the best advice."

Lucy shook her head and said nothing.

"Fire, promise me. Promise me when you get to your unit, send him nudes! Show him what he's missing!" dagdag ni Aubrey.

"Okay, that's enough advice for this morning." Awat naman ng girlfriend niya.

I gave them both thumbs up, "Noted! Ikaw talaga ang the best!" tugon ko sabay tawa.

Lucy escorted me to my unit and made sure I was in my bedroom before I heard her bidding good bye and promising she'll lock the door when she leaves.

Or I think that's what I heard. My body's pumping with alcohol I'm having a hard time deciphering which is real and which isn't.

I stripped out of my clothes and underwear before slumping back to my bed. Sarap sa pakiramdam. I was ready to sleep when my phone beeped and it was an unknown number.

"Senf nudeszzz ti hib. – auveey"

I laughed hilariously. She's right! Ipapakita ko sa Cobi na 'yon ang ibinasura niya para sa pangit na 'yon!

I turned on my side lamp and sat upright. I covered my nipples, squeezing my tits together making it look bigger than they are, I mean they are big but I want them looking more huge than normal. I positioned the camera until it reaches my lip and snapped a picture.

Next, I turned sideways. I lift my phone up and angled to capture my curves and the tattoo I have on my rib area. I arched my back a bit more, my ass popping out before snapping another picture.

I was smiled triumphantly to myself. Going to my messages and swiping through it, looking for his name. Then I realized that I already deleted our thread and I already blocked him from my list.

But, of course. I know his number. Memorize ko dahil ganoon ako ka-inlove sa kanya! Tang-ina niya!

Grasping the will power alcohol had given me and the parting words Aubrey said. I took a large breath before I started typing his number on the screen from my memory.

I proceeded to encode my message and attached my pictures with it.

"This is what you lost, motherfucker! I hope you rot in hell!"

Then I press send.
