(reader's pov)

Josh cheated on me. Josh fucking cheated on me. After 3 years of getting by and he just cheats on me. I put my earbuds in and played cake by Melanie Martinez. ‘It's getting late’ I thought as I walked into a cave. I was making my bed when I heard a noise.

“um hello,” a male voice said. I turned around to see a male about 5’2. He had bluish-black hair. He had pale skin, beautiful red eyes, he wore a bluish-black hoodie, bluish-black pants, and black shoes. “Oh uh hi,“ I said shyly. “The names Thomas," He said full of confidence.

"Oh I uh I'm (name)" I said surprised yet confused. "Why are you in my cave?" He asked in an intimidating voice. "I'm sorry I didn't know I was trespassing I was just looking for a place to sleep and I-I uhhhh" "hey hey calm down" He sighed "It's fine Hmmm" He began to look at me funny and walk closer I backed away as far as I could, scared of what he could do. But then my back hit a wall he cupped my cheek in his giant palm his face drew closer to mine my face flushed red.

"You have mud on your face and looks like you got a pretty deep cut there" the embarrassing memory of you running to get out of the rain flashed threw your mind you cringed recalling the painful faceplant. "Damn tree roots" you muttered under your breath. A painful sting snaps you back to reality you wince in pain and realize your staring right into the eyes of the humanoid spider, he wiped away the mud and covered your cut in a web to help it heal.

You both realize how close you both are, He immediately gives you space and his face covers itself in red. "IM SORRY I DIDN'T MEAN TO GET SO CLOSE" He freaks out like a crazy fangirl but slowly begins to calm down. "What are you doing here anyway?" He asks. "I don't want to be around a dirty cheat so I'm trying to find a place to stay for the night.” You begin to tear up recalling the sight of your boyfriend cheating on you with your best friend.

"You can stay here,” he said as he wiped my tears. “We’ll go get your stuff in the morning,”. “Okay um goodnight,” I said. “Goodnight,” he said as he walked deeper into the cave. I was about to lay down when I heard someone singing. It came from where Thomas went.

I followed the sound. I found Thomas singing cake by Melanie Martinez. He was only in a pair of boxers. I blushed madly at the sight. He turned around and saw me staring at him. He stopped singing. “Uh-uh s-sor-sorry,” I said before running back to my bed and hid under the covers. I heard footsteps.

(Thomas’ pov) 

I slipped on my pants after (name) ran out of the room. I heard footsteps. I looked out my open door. My ex. “anna what are you doing here?” I asked her with anger dripping from my words. “I’m sorry for cheating on you, will you take me back?” she asked. (name) got out of her bed to see what was happening.

(name) walked over to me "what’s go-” “Who are you and what are you doing with my boyfriend?” anna asked with jealousy laced in her voice. “I’m not your boyfriend and get out of my house,” I said. She left pissed and shouted at (name) and me. "I'll be back!!! As for you, you little whore you better pray that I don't ever see your ugly ass face again," (Name) just gave Anna a smug look and said, "don't be jealous of the beauty you don't have," “What was that all about?” (name) asked.

“The bitch that just left is my ex she cheated on me and she tried to get me to take her back,” I said. “I’m sorry I walked in on you earlier,” she said embarrassed about earlier. “you’re so cute when you’re embarrassed,” “what?" She asked. “N-nothing,” I said as my face got as red as a tomato.

(name) leaned over and kissed me on the cheek “you’re so cute when you’re embarrassed,” I held my cheek where she kissed me shocked. ‘How could a human like me? I’m a freak of nature’. I watched as she was about to go lay down in her sleeping bag.

"Hey, (name)?" "Yea?" "It's uhh pretty chilly tonight w-would you umm like to sleep in my room tonight?” I asked. (name) walked over to me and kissed me on the lips. I stood shocked for a second but then I kissed back. After what felt like centuries we broke the kiss. “Let’s go cuddle,” I said as I grabbed her small delicate hand. "Sure," she said and followed me to my bedroom. We laid down on the bed. A few minutes later we heard footsteps, we got up and looked out the bedroom door.

“Josh?” (name) asked in disbelief. “(name) will you take me back?” he asked her. “Yes I never loved this freak of nature anyway,” she said “let’s go home,” he said. Tears ran down my cheeks. Then I woke up.

“Thomas are you okay?” (name) asked with a concerned look on her face. “I had a dream that you left me for josh,” I said as tears fell down my cheeks. She hugged me and said “I would never, I love you,” “so you don’t think I’m a freak?” I asked. “You're not a freak,” she said. “I love you,” I said “I love you too,” she said.

It has been a few days since we started dating. "Hey, we should go get your stuff," "yea let's go," she said. We left the house and went to her ex's house. After a while of walking, we finally got to Josh's house. (name) knocked on the door. A few seconds later a skeleton answered the door.

"(Name) where have you been and who is this?" "I'm his girlfriend and I was at his house," she said "wait what do you mean you’re his girlfriend? You’re my girlfriend," "Josh I told you we’re done, you cheated on me,” she said. “I-” “no I just came to get my stuff,” she said as she pushed past him. A few seconds later she came back with a few boxes. I grabbed two of the boxes and we left. We got to the house and started unpacking the boxes.

"Where do you want this?" I said showing her a plush a Illuminati like triangle with little black limbs and wearing a top hat and holding a cane. "Go ahead and place him over there," she said. I got up and placed him on the shelf.
