It's been nearly 10 years as a tree, and I have to say it's rather boring. Almost everyday couples come and sit underneath my branches when a boy suddenly appears and seems to have an influence on the couples and they end up splitting apart like how I did. I was pondering about that boy when Lucy shows up.
"Hi Mom"
"Hello my daughter" I can talk to her because she knows it's me and there is a loophole in the curse.
"How are you mother?"
"Same as everyday pondering about that boy..." I say slowly sinking into thought.
"Mom you're doing it again."
"Ah, Sorry Lucy"
"It's ok, by the way, Mom, I heard a rumor that they were gonna chop you down." She says tears coming to her eyes.
"Why?" I ask her wondering why would they do this.
"Well, rumors are going around that when a female who is in a relationship or is already married sits underneath your branches," she says looking very upset, " the relationship or marriage is broken and the women die within 24 hours of a heart attack."
I stay silent, rather shocked, about what was happening to the poor women.
"Mom are you okay?"
"Yes, honey I have to warn you about the boy because I have a feeling that he is the cause of this." I warn her.
"Okay Mom. I have to go home now see you tomorrow"
"Good bye my sweet daughter." I say watching her turn around and leave.
