Chapter 40 - The Winter Conference

Days passed and Toby, who got his spirit lifted up, enjoyed the beauty of Christmas. It also happened the same for David and Chloe as they were also uplifted. Everyone involved in the PEACE club is enjoying, not much of a matter while they still have this problem to solve. Toby, however, is still aware of the happenings in his class despite of the blinding happiness he contuinally experiences now. 

When everything was settled right after the Christmas eve, right even after the fun and happy moments Toby and the rest experienced, they started working on the class crisis. They conducted five consecutive meetings and nothing has been taken seriously. The others were busy with their families, shopping at mall, and continued the happiness they obtained even after. Toby decided that only he and David can continue further.

David, on the other hand, was unsatisfied seeing his fellow members not on duty. He chatted them, only to find out that he was seenzoned. It is for the first time in their club that such unfortunate event happened. As long as he remember that during their time of priceless services, they had never done any lazy act like the one at the moment. They were all active once.

One night, the night before the New Year's eve, Toby turned on his laptop, then he logged in on facebook to chat David about the ill progress they have been experiencing at the moment.

"What should we do?" David asked. "They aren't as active as they used to be."

"Just trust those ones who are willing. In a group, there will always be one or more who are not cooperating." Toby suggested.

"The problem is, no one's willing..."

"Hmmm... maybe it is not meant to be... just sometime later then. We can't rush things."

"Yeah, since only the three of us with Janine."

"Later." Toby ended the conversation. He browsed his newsfeed with some interesting facts, later he failed in finding such. He became bored and so he logged out and took a nap.

Meanwhile, as for the perspective of the other members, Chloe and Alessa were planning concealingly from Toby and David. Chloe knew their plans from the chat of David yet the others weren't informed so she held responsible.

"Alessa." She chatted Jules after opening her desktop and logging in her facebook.

"Yes?" Alessa responded. What a relief for Chloe for she is active at the moment.

"Have you read David's chat for us?"

"Not yet. Why?"

"Being a member of the club, he wanted us to help about our..."

"Toby?" She asked.

"No. He will be  helping us now. Our goal will be of help on us now. He will lead us to another open forum and he'll make it successful this time."

"Oh. Well then, we could be glad of help."

Chloe continued to chat with her and informed her about the problem. Alessa thought of it as the problem should be extinct and shouldn't be walking on the halls of their classroom, but she seemed that her expectation is all of the worst.

David and Toby thought that the other members were just busy with their families, yet on the contrary that they have no time to see nor check their current update on the new goal David has casted. Alessa went to inform others as Chloe entrusted to her the spreadings she should do. To all other members, they were unaware.

Atlast the day came, passing the New Year's eve, where they bought a lot of fireworks. The sky at that noisy night were bombarded with colorful lights as if the night looked like the blistering aura of the nebula at the space. Toby and David started the meeting. Everyone is now aware of the current problem.

Winter started to last, and they all discussed the proper plans on the said event.
