We dart out of our temporary hiding spot and run towards Cementoss, dodging his attacks as well as we can. Our teacher sends a huge wall of thick rock towards us, and I grab Kirishima's arm.
Bending the metal from an overhang of a nearby building, I run along it like a ramp and jump with Kirishima into the air.
I let go of his arm and roll on the ground to soften my fall. "Go!" I shout, running towards the gate as quickly as I can.
I hear my partner's footsteps pounding against the pavement right behind me.
Cementoss must have seen us by now... While glancing behind me to ensure our safety, I see a huge tidal wave of heavy brown rock rushing towards us.
My eyes widen, and in a quick moment the huge mass of cement is down on us.
I hear nothing for a few moments until I whisper something to Kirishima.
He simply nods and I peel back the metal I used as a shield to protect us; standing over us is Cementoss, and I quickly kick his face and push off in the direction of the gate. Kirishima runs beside me as I constantly check over my shoulder to make sure another huge attack isn't coming.
We keep running until I can see the very top of the gate in the distance. After checking over my shoulder once again, I notice Cementoss isn't behind us.
This worries me. Where could he have gone?
My question is answered as I feel a sharp sting against my check, then feel my entire body fly sideways before hitting a wall.
I feel my vision blur while my ears start ringing slightly. After groaning and slowly regaining my balance and senses, I look up only to be slammed with another huge wall of cement. My breathing becomes short and quick, and I have to remind myself to stay calm.
Using the metal from my wrist brace, I form it into a point and begin pounding against the weakest point in the stone cage.
It soon crumbles, and I tear at it until I can crawl through.
The bright light from the outside world shines through and blinds me for a second before I adjust my eyes.
I climb fully out of the rubble and look around the area. Huge masses of broken ground and rock were everywhere, and as I continue scanning the situation, I see Kirishima fighting off Cementoss's relentless attacks.
I quickly fire off a piece of metal aimed at Cementoss's head, and it hits him, square in his man-bun.
He stumbles forwards as I run over and throw a powerful kick at his head again. Kicking him actually really hurts since he's made of so much concrete, but I tough it out, ready for this test to be over already.
Cementoss stumbles again and in a split second decision partially influenced by my head trauma, I reach forward as a loud bell rings throughout the arena before a voice yells out, "HEROES WIN!"
I fall to the ground, letting myself rest my pound head against the cool concrete.
Kirishima stands there in surprise until his gaze falls on Cementoss's right hand, which has a handcuff around it.
While our teacher was distracted by my kick, I whipped the handcuffs out of my belt and threw one of them around his hand.
I continue panting on the ground while Kirishima walks over to me. "You did it!" He shouts, obviously excited by our win even though he is also beat up.
"We did it." I say and let out a brief, raspy laugh. I begin coughing and cover my mouth, but as I pull back I see blood splattered across my wrist and arm. "Huh." My vision begins blurring again and I slowly drift off, letting the world fall away.
