Crush on My Best Friend

a/n my first story please don't judge -_- anyway here's the first story. enjoy! 

My heart was beating like a race car on its final lap, thoughts were running through my head like a clock, a new thought every second. I didn't think that I would fall in love with my best friend! I was in math class and my teacher was rambling about something (i wasn't listening -_-) and my head was going off like a fireworks display. I let out a heavy sigh as I started to write down the notes from the board. My head started to throb from all of the thoughts running through my head. I just couldn't stop thinking about him. My childhood friend. As the bell rang for lunch I jumped up and started to get my things together. I hurried out the door to find my friends. "Hey~"

"AH! Jeeze don't scare me like that!" I growled at the dual haired boy. He was leaning against the door outside of my classroom. Jeeze he's so cute! Wait... what?!? What did I just call him!? Dammit! He's your childhood friend! Arg! Why am I like this! I was snapped from my thoughts by Kurama. "Hey Kira, are you alright?" he asked

"Ahhh... yeah, I'm fine!" I smiled. My head was spinning, my heart was beating fast as my face heated up. I stared at his face, I was lost in His dual eyes. "K. Lets go!" he smiled as he pulled me towards the cafeteria.

(after school)

The fiery leaves were falling from the trunks of old oak trees while a cool wind was blowing, the clouds hung low in the sky as the sunsetted leaving a picturesque view. I was trudging through the puddles, kicking the water around as if it was a football. My blue pigtails were swinging in the wind, my golden eyes were focused on the road ahead thinking hard. My house started coming into view. I was thinking of that one person who won't get out of my head. My heart started to beat abnormally fast, my face started to heat up as my thoughts caught up to me. They were like a runaway train that I could not stop. I can't like him! He's my best friend! Then why do I feel like this? Arg! Why?!? Ok... breathe, what am I feeling towards him? Love... ok, now if you asked what would he say? No... and it will ruin our friendship. Arg! Kill me now! Should I tell him or die lonely? I was interrupted by the one person I did not want to see at that moment. "Hey! Wait up!" Kurama yelled while running to catch up to me. When he finally caught up to me, he was panting like a dog who ran a marathon. "Arg! You stink!" I growled at him holding my nose.

"Uhh... sorry? Anyway, do you wanna hang out?" He asked rubbing the back of his neck. "I kinda need to ask you something important," he smiled shyly. My face heats up as I stared at him. Eeeek! He's so cute! Wait stop! You're red! Stop blushing you weirdo! I took a deep breath and sighed. "Let's go," I mumbled as I pulled the confused boy behind me. I stormed into my house with him close behind. We stood awkwardly in my living room, it was silent for a few minutes before I spoke up. "So~ um... What did you want to talk about?" I sighed.

"Well um... this question might ruin our friendship, so please don't hate me!" he rambled, shaking.

"Well?!?" I questioned, obviously getting annoyed.

"Um...Ilikeyouquitealotandiwanttobemorethanfriendsbutidontknowwhatyouweregonnasaysoilefttowaytolong, please don't hate me!" he took a deep breath as I sat there stunned. He started to walk back and forth as he waited for me to answer. "Wait... what! English please!" I snapped. He jumped by my sudden outburst. "Uhh... well, maybe this will help," he sighed as he started to walk towards me. He got closer and closer to me, I stopped breathing. "Wait what are you doing?" I mumbled. OMG! What is he doing! Too close! I'm gonna have a massive heart attack if he comes any closer! I was pulled from my thoughts when I felt his lips against mine. When we parted, I bolted backward, my face was crimson red. He was no different, he was as red as a tomato and was mumbling random things while pacing back and forth. Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks. "Well?" he asked quietly, but loud enough for me to hear.

"Well, what?" I asked bluntly.

"Are we gonna be a thing or... no?" he asked quietly.

"Uhhh... sure?"

"Really!?!"

"Yeah" I was blushing like a mad person. He ran up to me and hugged me. I wished that it could last forever! I felt so safe with him around. "I love you" he whispered.

"I love you too," I whispered back.
