"over there" Tommy said , pointing at a figure approaching the busses window. It was cold outside, The clouds had created a grey canvased sheet of dismay. The grass was greener, shinier, as if the rain had over hydrated the lawn. The busses were at a halt due to the rockslides ahead. Markus Markus, did you hear me ?. Markus raised his head from the pillow placed in between the window and the seat. His head was warm from the hours sleep he had, and mouth was parched from the lack of fluid in his mouth. The bus was humid due to people getting on and off the bus and walking in the rain trying to receive signal to tell their parents. Its been 2 hours since we left we are meant to be there by now. This shit sucks and my head hurts Markus said with anger beginning to burn like bread in an oven. Mr O'Neil said we should be about twenty minutes away, and the rock slide should clear in about 30 or less minutes. Tommy said with his curly black shaggy hair no longer being brushed to the side, The glasses he had on mixed with his blue eyes made him almost look as drizzled as outside. He was slim and pale and had freckles that made him look like a new born chicks egg, his slim character always made him look weak compared to Markus's Tan, Green eyed and brunet feature. Where's Lilly?, " she's outside trying to get a hold of her mum, apparently signals extra shit. Looking outside Markus could see the puffs of jackets and coats all shiny as if new colour of fresh paint had been mixed in a paint pallet, all the figures with no face had shiny blue screens up in the air in front of them searching. The figure Tommy had pointed to on the left had now disappeared was merely replaced with just woods. Fresh pine had scented the air on the outside mixed with the beating if leaves, sounding like African drums. To the right was the horde of colourful people now beginning to march back in the bus, mud slopping to their boots and water washing their jackets and face. Hey, flip you would not believe how strong the rain is out there, and the wind Lilly always had a sweet voice, brown hair, green eyes and a beauty spot marked the top left of her forehead. She had pink lips and trench like dimples that carved her smile into a perfect curve, her eye brows where slim but clear making her true beauty stand out. She wore a brown trench coat covered with sheep wool on the interior of her jacket but by the rain it was almost the colour of dirt brown. SO, your finally awake I see. yea but my head as Markus touched his head, Lilly dug in her bag on the isle seat pulling a small carton of white and red pills. here for your head numskull, and uh don't get to much spit on my bottle as she gave him a bottle of water. The water was smooth, the trickles of water running down his throat made his mouth tickle and his ears jump by the cold. The tablet felt good, mentally knowing it would help his head. alright we are moving people. Quiet down quiet now Mr O'Neil shouted amongst the protest of children screaming.
The bus made a sudden jolt, and the slightest sound of wheels slipping and spinning in the mud could be heard, under them. CHIPS Tommy said pulling a bag of crisps out the bag and offering it to Markus and Lilly. Drive up the mountain was steep and slow. Four police cars, one fire truck and two ambulances where place evenly on the sides of the road creating a blockade in order to ensure no one tried driving to fast or overtaking. Markus looked out his window while Lilly and Tommy sat having a conversation about farming, he didn't understand how people could enjoy such a conversation and how it could be entertaining to listen to such a conversation about fertilizer, Tommy's whole family grew up on a farm and that had always interested him on how plants grew. He wanted to be a biologist when he was older but Markus wanted to be an architect. Getting rich off of buildings and sky scrapers while his parents would often say his head is in the clouds he could rather now be in the clouds. Looking out the window as the road narrowed to the left creating giants that looked down on their bus, he could now see how bad the rock slide really was the once flat faced colossal size hill now had a pit of broken down bedrock and chunks of stone that was unable to be cleared away. Barriers and scaffoldings where set up in order to maintain the remaining shape of the hill like mountain, but by the exposed rock looked more mountain than hill. The entrance to Clementine was one of Markus's most soothing sight, A green welcoming billboard sat amongst dark green grass and next to a cobblestone fence.
The town of Clementine was one of four towns, there was Clementine known for its rich produce of peaches and beer, Heart-stone sat right on preacher lake where the produce of fish and dairy came from. Then there was loch till, proudly named after an American Scottish settler named Albert tilly. The location of lock till is where the residence of whole valley lived. It was based right upon the lake as well as whole valley school.
what are you going to do when you get home Sally asked Markus and Tommy. tissues, bed and a good movie to watch if you know what I mean Tommy said with a grin to his face and eyebrows in the hair in order to make his expressions more outgoing. gross. You don't need to share that with us, especially if there is a woman around truth be told Markus just wanted to look good In front of Sally. I have Netflix and Wi-Fi , Ill find something to do. The bus pulled into the open field. No teachers where needed in order to stop the conversations going on the busses breaks, torturing its self as it's yells for pain needing to stop, was enough to quiet everyone. Although Markus didn't know if it was the breaks or if it was the fact that there where no indication of parents being parked waiting for their kids to return home on the open field, waiting.
